Say what?
The scene was confusing and can be interpreted in so many ways. I guess that was the point because they don't even know what they want from each other. She was hurting and he wouldn't say anything. The irony is that his silence spoke volumes. He was angry and felt everything about her (that he admired) was lie, but he still has to suppress his feelings for her.
She wanted him to say something, anything really. It was a flashback to her asking him why she did what she did because she didn't understand her own actions. Back then, she went to him because he does the same thing when it comes to her. His actions never match his personality when interacting with her. One minute he is telling her to focus on something other than him and the next he is offering to drive her home without being asked. He offers to help set her life even if its her marriage then he is in pain when she actually gets engaged. He pushes her away but wants to know even the most insignificant things about her. He is just as conflicted as her but she thinks he has the answers.
Her dialogue yesterday showed where she stood. She knows she cares and it's not right that she cares so much similar to his "this is not good" moment. So it can't be that she was looking for a proposal or that she wanted some declaration of love, but her reaction to his silence was confusing. Why was she crying?
As a viewer, I like the fact that I don't know what she wanted him to say. Or what she wants from him in general. Closure? A simple admission of his feelings? A full-blown declaration of love? Call off his wedding? Or something else? One thing is certain, the way she was running from him means it's not marriage 😆
I'm not sure she even knows what she wanted him to say, but he knew exactly what he couldn't and wouldn't say. He was determined to keep his silence and continue with his original plan, marrying Tia. He may not accept her anytime soon or at least openly admit it, but his feelings will definitely be stronger than hers before and after their story reaches the love stage.
It would be nice to see the same hallway scene replayed in the future but with the roles reversed. I want to see him asking her in the future and getting silence in return. That way we could see if there is any truth to Tej's words about Shivaay not being weak unlike Om or if Tej was just projecting his own personality onto Shivaay.
