I haven't been posting for almost 3 days because like most of you, I am disgusted. Disgusted not at Shivika, who are selling it as hard as they can, but at Gul Khan's lack of creativity. She seems to have had one idea that came to her when she was a young lady of 12, and read a Mills and Boons novel. That idea has been "old wine in new bottled" and given to us to swallow in over 5 shows now, with literally no change to the concept. And crores of rupees later, we bloody buy it.
But this time, I see some hope. With this heroine, who, please God, wont be butchered like her hapless hero. I don't want Anika inside the Oberoi Mansion, to sleep outside by the pool with a goat. I don't want her to be tortured inside her bedroom while she is smiling like the adarsh bahu outside it. I don't want family members who were previously kind and loving towards her to treat her like shit--- I will LOSE IT if Prinku, Dadi or OmRu are shown as mean towards her. I want her, after the wedding to---leave. Head high, walking out, while he has his ideal two faced socialite next to him, as his actual bride exits his sterile, cold world.
And see, if the whole Choti Bahu concept is repeated, where Anika is made to substitute for Tia and Tia shows up later, and they change clothes (she did wear the exact outfit) it is an EXCELLENT thing for Anika--if she leaves. Of course, the angst will be great, and of course Shivaay won't be able to actually have Tia as his real wife, given the slight problem where she will avoid him, he will ignore her, since BOTH are married to other people. But after the post wedding rituals, Tia could have an emergency (a.k.a. real husband), and leave the OM for a while. That gives the new husband and his (real) wife room to return to their original tashan and their haq jataana.
Anika could also just return to her life, after all, she does have a life and a brother to get on with, and this would drive Shivaay INSANE. Also, it could end the Daksh story on a normal note---she is already married, she wont continue with an engagement. She can break it off with him without telling him why, and he can go full on crazed stalker mode without all this biting of jackets needed to appear normal. Shivaay will have her safety on his hands, she will be independent and unwilling to accept his rights to her, and we will die happy.
Now as for her being saved, or him somehow forcing her to marry him-- I don't think he can pay her to marry him, since she currently has the loan money, not to mention her pride. He cant physically browbeat her. Sahil can't be at play here, her Bandri Bua is not the power of attorney holder over him and his property, Anika is. And why the hell will he save her from Daksh when the worst thing Shivaay can imagine, izzat dena, has been done, willingly with a great deal of calm morning tea drinking, by the girl herself? And if he finds out Daksh was lying, investigates and finds proof, can't he can drag her to see a creepily oversized projection of her face? Won't she believe that the guy who proposed to her within hours of meeting her is also slightly crazy? He has no time/scope right now to find out the truth, Daksh is in Delhi (hopefully with his spy gear/life size Anika doll in his carry-on).
If you think about it, the most Shivaay can do is request her--- you have saved me before. How about you be mahaan and save me now? Maybe she chases the girl her hired to replace Tia out, maybe not. But in this concept, since usko farak parta hai, I can see her reluctantly agreeing because other wise, he would be risking everything on a stranger, and she at least knows she wont harm the moron. Afterwards, he coldly asks her to leave, letting her know that Tia and he will discreetly contact her later, to fix things.
In this context, Nayi Soch can actually start, with her being married to SSO, but deliberately not using his name and setting herself up in her business, staying in her own house. She can be a heroine who is doing something for herself, while he can only help forcefully, showing up again and again as that ESP connection (and danger) grows stronger. OmRu can find out, gradually, what he has done. She is not happy, but hell, she won't be, right? Any more than him?
The angst will hurt. But in this scenario, we get the old Anika back, only more mature, more aware of life and love and loss. He gets to learn that class has nothing to do with family. He gets to discover her, and this time the passion will be off the charts (married!). But ultimately, he has to earn her back, by letting go of all his reasons, one by one, (starting with her true nature, ending with Tia, then his redemption, then remarriage). Finally, she can be his wife with full rights and no shadows--without having had to change HERSELF at all. But until that happens, she has Sahil, OmRu and Soumya get to help Shivaay figure things out, and she gets a life. This way, SSO doesn't get to keep ASSO right where he wants her, a trapped, helpless victim to his cruelty. He doesn't get to enjoy making her bleed, all the while not valuing the unknown blood she sheds, for him.
