Ok..so about the film, my interpretation is:

He is a scientist, who tried a cloning experiment and it worked. but as it cloned his wife, he also ended up cloning himself. and his clone killed him.

Or, since the ending is very open ended, he is a writer dreaming up a story and fell asleep while thinking about it...😆

it was quite interesting...as a writer you have complete power over your characters. you can kill them off or make them live. find them love or make them suffer, etc.

And as a scientist who is experimenting with cloning you are also playing with lives.

Both these things can make you think of people as objects to be used as you wish. so he can just think of killing off his wife just like that because at that moment, it is like he has created an exact clone of his wife and so has complete power over her life.he believes he is her God forgetting that she is another human being with her own instincts for survival, her own wish/desire to live. You can also compare it to the way some men think they OWN their wives, like the wife is the property of the husband.

But he falls into his own trap. And as they say pride comes before a fall. And he falls. what happens to him in the end is left open-ended.
