Fool me once, shame on you....

Everything in the promo was shown from Om's secret to Rumya wedding only their scene was missing. Thinking about it now "going far away" could be referring to her inability to trust him and emotionally shutting herself off before and after everything is revealed.

The hug scene was emotional not romantic. In her moment of need she thought of him and tried to reach out to him but the phone call was cut. He came to her anyway. She had a moment of weakness and exposed her vulnerability to him. The fact she even tried to call him says a lot.

He told her that she could rely on him, but the reality is she can't. Not yet at least. This might be what the promo was all about. Something big is coming that will cause a chain of reactions that will lead to the wedding and possibly the promo. It might be another disgusting rant or him literally pushing into the arms of another man, but something will happen. His past rants didn't matter because she wasn't emotionally invested. It's a different story now because she let herself trust him. She will have a "fool me once, shame on you; fool me twice, shame on me" moment that might lead to the promo.

We need conflict even after Tia is exposed. Even when the truth comes out and she is vindicated the fact remains people don't change so easily, which applies to her pride and stubbornness as well. His ideology isn't going anywhere and I don't think her pride is either. Given what we have seen and the promo she is just as proud as him. I would love to see her fight just as hard as he has been fighting to keep her away. As his wall starts crumbling her wall will get stronger. Story-wise it's never been about third-parties it's always been a battle of the wills between them so I hope that continues.

Who knows maybe she will be the one who will keep him away after marriage
About promo contrary to majority view I still think 'Ja raha hai koi pyar se dur was meant for Shivaye ' as they were talking of three brothers. Yes I know anika was angry but then we will see her angry now after he will call her names.

So I think its Anika;s turn tfight now

Agree about hug scene it was emotional not romantic

This is what Dadi meant by 'Takkarwala pyaar" I guess. They are similar in many ways as you have already mentioned. I agree that this time around if Shivvay resorts to the same 'ghisa-pitta' ideology and ends up hurting her, she is not going to forgive him easily. And as you also mentioned, I too feel that today there was another change in their dynamics - stage 2 in the relationship.

That's the vibe I got from the promo because she was walking away from him. Even if you forgive doesn't you have to automatically forget.

Exactly she will give him a run for his money 😆 The shift in their dynamics will provide even more impact.

We need conflict and this fits their characters. The chances of getting a redemption track is slim, but she can return the favor by dismissing all his genuine deeds like he is able to dismiss all of her good qualities because of her background. Even though I'm looking forward to it, love is too soon for them. I prefer a battle of the egos right now. He slowly starts to change but she doesn't care because her perception of him is set. He will naturally react to her non-action.

For me the story indicates that Shivaay is definitely either fully in, or about to make that final plunge into, love. But more than loving her, this guy is the quintessential alpha dog with his pack, in a way-- love for him means protecting and being responsible for his loved ones-- it isn't starry eyed romance and valentines day hearts. Neither Anika OR Shivaay are romantic, staring at the stars, watching sunsets together types-- both are too cerebral and practical for that.

For both, love is becoming number 1 in someone else's life, as she says. Since they are both intensely private, love is being allowed into another person's inner life, inner thoughts. Since both are extremely competent, it is being given the right to help and fix the problems for the other person. And since both are as tough as nails-- it is being allowed to see the other person's vulnerability- and HELPING. For both, that is love. Clearly, Shivaay has done far more of these with Anika than Anika has let him do with her.

Thats why today's hug was important/ And given what we know is coming up, as the TM is pointing out, I would say this type of hug will not happen again, for a while. While I agree that the hug was emotional more than romantic, for me, this was an important stepping stone in their romance. Today Shivaay proved he truly does know her, her words and her silences. In contrast Daksh, with the whole balloons and hearts and proposal on the knees, was the wrong note exactly because Anika does not DO that kind of typical female romance.

But still Shivaay is the one further down this rabbit hole. For him anyone who is family seems to automatically get his protection, and by extension, his obsessive need to control and watch over them. When it comes to her, he called her his family 50 episodes ago, but the second part of that family equation for him --offering himself as the Great Wall of Shivaay--- tucking her away behind him, so he can take care of her--that only occurred today.

If she takes that right back, as she will, when he hurts and distrusts her--that will cut deeper than anything verbal or physical that she can do to him. For him, redemption will probably mean being allowed back into the role of her protector. When he discounts her suspicions, distrusts her intelligence and questions her motives, she will retreat and will take back his right to care for her. And more than anything else, I do think that will be enough from her side, when it happens, to devastate him. I don't need him on his knees, sobbing. I need him to earn back this right, the one he is so pleased with, that he got for free today.

I agree wholeheartedly. This is not the romantic kind of guy so his love will be anything but and I prefer it that way. Shivvay's character is developing just the way it should develop

... and that is what he did today when I saw the hug and the look that went with it in the start. He was calming her down verbally but his eyes were already scanning the room and his senses were alert to any danger. It is funny you mentioned 'alpha dog' because that is exactly the look he gave. It was not just a romantic hug ... it was much more. He wanted to know who could have been daft enough to even try and harm her. She was HIS and that should be warning enough for any fool not to even contemplate hurting her. I wouldn't put it past this kind of man to 'club his mate on her head, drag her into the cave and tie her up' because it was for her own good.🤣🤣
Well! from what I understand he does do just that, but in a more refined way than the caveman did, when he forces her to marry him to keep her safe. Unless the 'bride swap' roumors are true

You know I think most of us have forgotten how ruthless and obsessive Shivvay can be. How raw and primal his basic instincts are. I can never forget the office scene at the college and the pool scene at his place. He was a predator stalking and playing with his prey. He loves the hunt as much as he loves the kill.
Of late we have been getting the cute kitten side of him with the odd wild cat instincts surfacing. I think this snow leopard has not changed his spots yet and that is what we are going to see - the Alpha male' as you said, claiming his 'Alpha female' whether she succumbs to him or not.
Me thinks Daksh is in for a surprise if that forced marriage happens as he will get a taste of the Real Shivvay in all his true form and true to his name... lol

Great choice of words!!
Till yesterday, I dont think Ani let herself be invested in the relationship at all.No, I dont mean love. She never actually put herself out there!
Yesterday , Shivaay promised her to be there, for her, to lean on and that he was just a phone call away in case she needed anything! And she, for once, let her defences down and believed it and accepted his protection. That's a huge thing from a girl who wouldn't even let him hold her hand to walk her till the door when she was hurt!!
So for her to overhear him talk ill about her character ( as the spoilers predict )would be a double blow to Ani - an insult to her pride and in a way, a betrayal of her trust which she will take a long time to forgive!! After all we are hurt the most by the ones we actually care about. So thats what I think the promo is all about, her angrily walking away from him trying to make up for this slipup!! Shivvay will keep trying to reach out and she with all her khuddhari will push him away!! And I think its going to lead to a whole lot of beautiful scenes in the future for us!!

Beautiful poat dear..and all the comments here too are so meaningful!!
I agree that the hug was more emotional then romantic and that made it even more special..Anika opened her fears to shivaay which is a really important part of their story as it is a very big step for a girl like Anika..and shivaay offered his wall to Anika, his family now
But after his hurtful words, when anika will again be attackedas per the articles Daksh will save her which means shivaay would be so hurt as daksh will take away his right to protect her..and when anika will accept daksh proposal she will snatch shivaays rights away..really waiting
