Looks like Gayathri have been killed by Roop as she finds it no reason to retain her since she kept failing in each and every plot. So to make Shivay pay, she would have planned it in such a way that Gayathri will for Shivay in a secluded place in the forest area and on his arrival, they will kill him but ultimately she would have used the same theory used for Gayathri's husband's death that he was told that the lighter wont work but when he tried it did light up and caught fire as he was drenched in Kerosene.
The person who kidnapped Anika doesn't know the fact that her Bua has made a video of Shivika and broadcast it to defame her once she was kidnapped by thinking Anika eloped with Shivay. All Roop would have thought is that once they kidnap Anika, there won't be anyone to give alibi to Shivay and he will be sent to jail. Also she must be gritting her teeth as it was Anika who saved Oberai's on all occasions where she had plotted to destroy them. Be it bomb on chopper, Video to implicate Tej & Shakti being the reason for the death of a girl, etc.
Shivay would have gone to murder spot and as his cuffing were loose, it would have fallen down when he slipped on something and that will justify his foot prints or finger prints and the cuffing in that spot.
As far as Oberoi's are concerned, they have to just prove that Shivay was not the one who killed Gayathri, the rest is for the police to search for the actual criminal. Once the Shivika Video goes viral, it will become the responsibility of the police to locate her and get her back to safety.
