I won't justify anything, I'm in no team either😆
All I'll say is that although dramatised, this show has raised important issues that are still relevant in our society in this day and age. The extreme to which Shivaay went was wrong, in thinking bloodline etc are the ONLY things that matter, but it does matter a lot in arranged marriages, 'khandani' being a word that repeatedly comes up. Chhabras by lying definitely do not qualify as 'sharif' or honest in any sense of the term.
I think he realizes himself what he's done if today was any indication.
If he were indeed STONE Singh Oberoi, he would NOT have been shown in that scene when Anika walks away. I have to say, I TRULY loved how Surbhi and Nakul aced this beautiful silent moment of heartbreak for both of them.
Shivaay is not the only one who got his trust broken, Shivaay is NOT the only one who held his head high and resolutely refused to break. That subtle shift in anika from heartbreak to determination with that tiny head shift was👏
That tiny eyebrow raise of Shivaay when Anika exited his house, or even when Anika spoke, her voice trembling, was the only indication to show how affected he was by her.
He sensed her walk away too, one moment, a dozen steps out of his life, all thanks to him, all because he misunderstood and let his temper get the better of him.
The rest of the episode, we see him thinking back to his question, and to her thinking back to his rudeness, easily highlighting the betrayal for both of them by each other.
We see him clench his fist when Tia basically says what he had said too, without the colourful adjectives. He cannot bear it when someone else says anything to or about her anymore. Her pain and his guilt at it, is his alone. It's his cross and he shall bear it.
We see him trying to calm himself down, by stroking his hand, the same hand with the watch where they were connected only a day or two ago, and much before as well.
This is the hand she touched, the hand which showed where they had progressed to, and the pain he felt when she said yes to that disbelieving question.
I do not think he needed anyone to really tell him he was wrong, I still would say its his stubbornness and obsession coming in between his firm faith in Anika.
Like I have said, she IS his miracle, and he wanted her to make it all okay again, but she didn't, and in that, he was lost, and reacted the only way he knew how: emotions trapped behind the wall built of cold, harsh, but practical assumptions about the world he lives in.
She was so hurt, she was crying a LOT, it matters to him, they were becoming close, allies if not friends, more maybe but no less. She has to hold herself again, such a difference from when he was holding her. Like she would always be perpetually cold because of his words, her tears her only warmth.
But she did not, will not break.
If he is a stone wall, then she herself HAS a stony quality to her too.
She is the pebble that gets smooth after being smothered, shaped by the fast, and undoubtedly painful and strong current of life, with happy moments far and few in between.
If he is a wall of jagged edges and shards of glass, she has these tiny flecks of light that glisten in those pebbles we find near rivers.
Those flecks will always light her way.
Those jagged edges will hurt him the most.
They will learn to work together because their lives do not need to be entwined for their hearts to be one anymore.
They'll always miss each other.
She will help him again and again because she loves his family, and she cares about him.
I do not care about the spoilers yet because it doesn't matter unless it happens.
She IS an innocent too, she says things she does not know have more than one meaning and are interpreted in the ones she never meant at all.
I truly found the last and today's episode wonderful, intense, and powerful.
And I think they show progression AS WELL as the most powerful traits that HAVE led to their 'takkar' and will unless HE becomes more flexible, and she learns to be a bit more practical.
All relationships need to be balanced, and since they are still learning, there's much for us to enjoy, discuss, and appreciate.
