Finally watched yesterday's episode. The confrontation was amazing and horrifying at the same time.
The theme of the episode was realization. Judging from their conversation in the kitchen Anika has come to terms with this Shivaay. This side of him wasn't new to her but it's different now because his own sister's feelings involved. I love the fact that she didn't try to convince him. When she got her response she just walked away.
As for the actual confrontation, it's not the first time he said those awful things to her face. The first time he assumed she was nothing more than a gold digger that sold out his family. She was a two-faced liar who said one thing to his face and did another behind his back. The second time he assumed that she was working with the people trying to harm his family. The difference between then and now is that he knows she isn't that person. Whether he admits it or not he has seen the real her and likes what he sees. She has shown her character time and time again, but none of that matters. For him, the random Dev who he just met and the person who genuinely cared for his family (and saved on multiple occasions) don't amount to anything in his eyes. She always knew where she stood so I highly doubt she didn't expect this to happen at some point.
With Shivaay his anger stems from the fact he had expectations. He realized he expected more from her. Even if she didn't agree he expected her to respect his decision when she didn't he lost it. I wanted to be mad at him, but he wasn't entirely wrong. He reacted (very badly) based on the information he was given. He gave her several opportunities to tell the truth, but she didn't. She knew exactly what the consequences would be and she still lied. I'm not excusing his behavior because his actions were reprehensible. However, I do think his anger is justified. He literally just had a conversation with her and he made himself very clear then she admits to letting him in. He was hurt because she was supposed to be on his team, he trusted her, and she betrayed him. She messed with the one thing he asked her not to. He is lenient with her and gives her liberties. That "not even you" comment was a dead giveaway. It's obvious his feelings for her are stronger hence the disappointment.
Now for that useless lump of pathetic. I'm not surprised she didn't say anything during the confrontation. I expected it actually. I'm sure we all did.
What I want to know is where did she get the courage to let him in. Whatever he had to say he could have said over the phone. You let him in because he asked you to? It's official she is literally the definition of pathetic doing all this for a guy she just met. He's cute, but not cute enough to let into your house especially if your family is under constant threat. She is certifiably insane.
The best part of this whole situation is that even if Anika wasn't there she would still let him in. I hope her stupidity presents problems for Shivaay in the future 😆
Where did all this love come from with dumb and dumber. You and your entire family just got humiliated, engagement cancelled, and shown the door. Then this genius decides to lurk outside their house. Very good idea, nothing can go wrong here.
Anika was stupid for lying about letting that idiot in, but seeing her whimpering I can understand why she caved and lied. She couldn't say it wasn't her because then she would have say who really let him in. If Anika who isn't a coward got scared at his reaction there is no way Prinku would have been able to handle it. Sometimes she can be too kind.
She had the courage to let him then decides to take him to her bedroom, but she couldn't speak in her friend's defense.
