In all honesty, like you, I have been expecting this since the moment Aanika and Shivay weren't at loggerheads anymore. It's an Indian drama, what else can one expect?

The importance of all this was set in the first few episodes. Shivay needed someone who was his match and most importantly, someone who could make him do something he had fought against his whole life: love and emotional entanglements. This sets the basis for a pretty phenomenal redemption track.

Unlike most people on this forum, I don't think Shivay is an illegitimate child nor is Rudra. They made sure that we knew he was an Oberoi by explaining he had his grandfather's eyes. His problem, in all fairness, isn't the absence of lineage but rather what having good lineage means: honour, respectability in society and status.

My prediction is that he will learn this lesson in two consecutive ways:

1. When Tia's truth comes out and make no mistake, that girl is going to stick around during the whole 'Shivay is a murderer' track. It will be the first kick in the teeth. We know he is going to end the engagement because in the episode with his wedding, he is the one who undid the knot but it won't be because he is in love with Aanika, but rather because Tia is not who he thought she was. It will be a reality check, because here is a girl who has all the lineage but is untrustworthy and unreliable.
2. Mr Chhabra's comment about Shivay hanging his head in shame resonates because his next big lesson, if you ask me, will come through Shakti. I am guessing that the secret from 20 years ago, Shakti played the biggest role. I also think it is connected to Aanika's past, and when that realisation comes to light, it is actually going to destroy Shivay. If this comes to pass, Shivay will have to deal with the fact that his own family, his own father is anything but respectable and honourable. His pride about being an Oberoi is linked to his father because without him, he wouldn't be an Oberoi.

If all of the above comes to pass, Shivay is going to have to work so damn hard to win Aanika back, which is in keeping with the character trajectory we were promised at the beginning of the show. There have been references to how Shivay will be the one most affected because his is the greatest struggle against love and his prejudice. Additionally, Shivay is a form of Shiva, who has dominion over all household matters, he is the creator and the destroyer and in contrast, he is also a Yogi. Also, what many people forget, he is also considered the ideal husband and the Shivay we know is most of the contradictions but he is far from being a good life partner right now.

Even I am super excited for tomorrow 😆 This is the much awaited showdown in the history of television for sure 😆 I agree this will change the whole way this couple perceive each other...much needed reality check to both...I really wanted Anika to come out of her la la land and face the reality like a super girl 😳

All this was boiling under the surface and the whole Dev situation just made it come forward. I already feel bad for Anika because she will probably hear some nasty words but she needs the reality check. Someone can't consider you family when they don't respect you.

Love is a faraway concept for them right now. She is idealistic and hopes for love, but she is not stupid. I always liked the fact that she has always been wary of him. With the others she lets them in, but she keeps him at a distance. The family comments rattled her because she yearns for family so this will hurt. Her feelings might be hurt but she will come out stronger because she doesn't get hurt that easily.

Before this showdown his chances with her were nonexistent, but after this showdown it will happen only in his dreams 😆

I think that rant about her class (which Anika didn't hear) was not only show us that he is fighting his feelings, but also to show us that he still hasn't changed. He has gotten used to her presence and a part of him does care about her and her well-being, but he still doesn't respects her. It's a clear case of "you don't know what you have until its gone". He is caring and kind but its hidden behind his ego, his bias, and his ideology.

Yes ur right Anika is emotionally very strong woman, if at all she slaps shivaay that will be out of her character. After all word speak louder than action. Let's hope for the best.
