The soft sound of something broke Ishana's peaceful sleep.She opened her mesmerizing eyes,which had captured her husband,Omkara Singh Oberoi,on their first meeting itself.Still trying to adjust to the surrounding lights,she narrowed her eyes and looked at the source of the noise.She was not surprised at what she saw.Her Prannath,was working on another masterpiece of his.She took a glance of the wall clock;it showed 2am.Slowly,she got up from the bed and moved towards Om.
"What are you painting,today?"Ishana asked from his behind,leaning closer to him to get a good look at the portrait.
"Us."Om answered,brushing on of his clean paintbrush against Ishana's nose.
"Cool!"She was now full awake.She came and sat on his lap.A known scent hit his nostrils which immediately aroused him,and to make it worse,her creamy legs that were visible,was tempting him further.She was wearing his shirt,which was, of course bigger than her size, and a shot which was clearly flashing her soft skin that was only meant for him to see.
"Let me help you with the coloring." Ishana excitedly offered her help,taking a brush from the brush-holder.
"Ah, Ishana,I think you should go back to sleep now." Om tried to change her mind,fearing she would spoil his painting.
"No Prannath.Let us both paint it and complete US'." Ishana replied, taking red color in her brush.
"OK,then you'll do as I say." He ordered.
"Fine.Now can we start?" she asked,rolling her eyes.
"Ishana,what are you doing?Who paints moon red?!" Om asked horrifyingly,taking off his glass.He was beyond shocked to see his crazy yet beautiful,wife had just spoiled his masterpiece.
"Relax,Zolfi Singh Oberoi!So what if no-one does?Ishana Omkara Singh Oberoi does!And what kind of Artist are you if you don't know red signifies love?" she countered him.
Ishana turned to face him still sitting on his lap,while he hold her closer to him to avoid her spilling the colours on the already spoiled portrait.
"See Omkara ji,you are an Artist and being your beautiful wife I now know a little about painting too.So don't just see the colour but feel it also." Said Ishana,doing some hand gestures.
"Yeah right,red moon!"he agreed nonchalantly." More than romantic,I'm getting Supernatural vibes seeing this red moon of yours."
"Supernatural?! Don't you know during Penumbral lunar eclipse the White moon turned/turns blood Red?So it's nothing supernatural ok." She informed him,thinking he had no knowledge about the outer world.
"I know that but red also signifies danger,right?he reasoned.She went silent and looked back at the picture and he took advantage of it.
"You know about those mythological creatures like vampires,werewolves and those,right.I've heard they are actually real and they come out during such lunar eclipses for their prey.They suck on the blood of their victims and thus kill them.Once the victim is dead,he becomes one of them,then."he smiled wickedly behind her when he say the hair on the back of her neck were standing and she was moving closer to him.She turned to him and he did a little happy dance inside, happy that he could fool her.
"It's ok Ishana.You don't need to be afraid,I'm here with you."he assured her,still smiling to himself.But she burst out laughing.Om's eyes grew wider in confusion, " has she finally lost it? Did he scare her too much that she lost her mind?" he thought to himself.
"Oh Prannath,you are so funny.Do you really think you can get me with this?" Ishana said inbetween her laughter.
" Just because you got scared seeing Prinku in that ghost get-up,doesn't mean I too will get scared listening to your story"she again burst out into a laughter.His jaw dropped at this revelation.He thought she was scared but she was playing with him,instead." How the hell did she know about him getting scared?Now she will always tease him about it"he thought.
Knowing what he was thinking,ishana got up from his lap,wiped a tear that came out due to uncontrol laughter ,she started,
"Anika Bhabi and Somu told me how you three brothers got scared that night.How I wish I was there to see all three of yours expressions.The OBbros who claim of not fearing anything,got scared by fake ghosts,"she again started laughing.He looked at her amazed.The sound of her laughter was music to his ear.How much he loved to see her laughing and smiling.It gave him a sense of pride knowing he was the reason behind her laughter.He was now lost in his thoughts.
"Ok,ok I won't laugh anymore.now let's complete US." Referring to the painting,she took back her seat on om's lap.
"hmm,now that the moon is spoiled,let's focus on the people on the picture.We'll make your and mine hair fly..."before she could say anything further,her eyes fell on a particular spot on the painting.
"Om.why do you always give so much of importance in my eyes?I mean,whenever you make any sketch of mine,it seems you've spent more time on the eyes than the rest of the parts."Ishana asked curiously.
At this,he thought back at the time when he first saw her in the caf.He couldn't help smiling at the memory how despite getting conned by her that day,he couldn't get his eyes off her.The innocence her eyes held,he just couldn't get them out of his system.He tried his best to not fall for her,but like a gush of air,she came and took his heart.He loved seeing her sparkling eyes,his reflection in those orbs.He smiled at the irony that he had fallen for a girl who used to lie,well even today she lied,a little,mostly to cover up for Rudra's antics.He always knew Shivaay and Anika are made for each other,for they both were quite alike in terms of takkar but what he didn't know he would fall for this ex-con girl who used to lie through her teeth when he was "Sach ka boyfriend"in Rudra's word."They were complete opposite of each other.While he loved solitude,she loved noises,he hated lies,she used to be a great lier,he loved painting and she loved spoiling them. In spite of everything,he found himself falling for her everyday." Love is crazy,isn't it?"
"Om,I'm asking you something."Ishana hit his arm.
"Why don't you find it yourself." Saying so he got up with her in his arms and moved towards their bed.
"We still haven't completed the painting."
"I've a better way to complete US."he winked,placing her on the bed.
"Oh really?"she teased.
"Really."
