Too much screen space for Mallika

I feel Mallika role is taking too much of screen space and overshadowing other characters... I hope her entry has a solid purpose than just for promoting something. I really wish the focus is being shifted to the main characters in the story. Now that Tia is back expecting ranas entry too!!!! today misunderstanding is created between Tia and shivaay because of mallika does this leads to cancelling the wedding ???
