He used the black paint to draw the fine lines that looked like the eyelashes. The portrait was complete, then why wasn't it giving him satisfaction. Why did it look incomplete? For the first time, he felt that his art was useless!
Jo na keh sake tum
Jo na keh sake hum
Jo na keh sake tum
Jo na keh sake hum
"Damn!" He said in frustration and placed the brush back on the table. "Ishaana, what have you done to me?"
"Aap mujhe zaroor yaad karenge, Omkara Singh Oberoi," Her words came back to him. He had remembered those words, those eyes, for every second in the last 20 minutes. Yes, she was in pain, yes she had given him pain, but then why did remembering her give him a soothing feeling? What was going on?
Kehne lagi
Dono se wo
Khamoshiyaan... O Saathiya
Kehne lagi
Dono se wo
Khamoshiyaan... O Saathiya
*Flashback*
"help!" he was passing through the narrow and deserted lanes of Mumbai, when he heard screams from one of the houses. Wanting to help he ran in the direction of the sound, only to hear loud screams, filled with pain. He stopped infront of house, whose door was closed. He knocked, but the only response he got was a girl screaming.
That voice, remembering that voice made his heart skip a beat. Not thinking for even a second, he tried breaking the door and after many attempts, the door flung open. The scene he saw just made adrenaline rush in his blood.
Ishaana was held tightly by a man, while the other was playing with her dupatta. Blood was oozing out of her head, and tears in her eyes sparkled to scream her pain. Before the men could react, Omkara went and hit the man who was holding Ishaana. She pulled herself out of his grip. Omkara, who never really lost his calm, beat the men black and blue. So angry was he, that he didn't realize how harshly he was hitting them. The two men, scared for their lives, left the house. Omkara was about to catch them, but felt a soft grip on his wrist.
Saathiya... Saathiya
Saathiya... Saathiya
Saathiya... Saathiya
Saathiya... Saathiya
He turned and looked a pale Ishaana. It was as if she had no strength in her. She was about to faint. He held her in his arms. She hugged him and cried. He stood motionless as she held him. He sensed that she was shivering. Not knowing what to do, he picked her in his arms and helped her lay on the sofa. She stared at him in shock as he went to the kitchen.
Baadlon mein
Ghul na jaayein
Hain jo naghme thehre thehre
Do dilon mein
Jazb karle
Sare jazbe gehre gehre
"Omkaraji, aap..." he heard her voice follow him. He looked up to see her leaning on the door frame, with her right leg raised a bit. He walked a few steps towards her. Being a dancer, she could manage to stand like that for some time, till he was closer. When he neared him, she kept her foot down and screamed. Losing her balance, she almost fell; but Om hurriedly wrapped his arms around her waist and pulled her closer to him.
Kal kya pata mile na mile
Nazdeekiyaan o saathiya
Kal kya pata mile na mile
Nazdeekiyaan o saathiya
She looked at him in shock. Om looked in those brown eyes and for the first time in many years, he felt like the time had stopped. Usually, the drugs did this to him, but no, he wasn't intoxicated. He was... mesmerized. Her brown orbs, filled with shock and pain, stared at him. A soft smile played on her face, as if she was waiting for this. But her words proved his intuitions wrong
Saathiya... Saathiya
Saathiya... Saathiya
Saathiya... Saathiya
Saathiya... Saathiya
"Omkaraji, aap please jaaiye yahaanse"
"I can't, you are injured, aur tumhari family bhi yahaan nahi hai,"
"I never really had a family," She said, more to herslef.
He looked at her in confusion, she lowered her eyes and turned to leave. That's when he noticed the glass piece that had pierced her foot. He pulled her closer to him and lifted her in his arms.
Mil ke tumse
Khush hoon lekin
Dil hai phir bhi
Uljha uljha
Door kar de
Paas aa kar
Kal hamein na
Koi lamha
Pad jaaye na
Dil pe kahin
Gham ka nishaan o saathiya
Pad jaaye na
Dil pe kahin
Gham ka nishaan o saathiya
"Jab aapke paas aana tha, tab apne mujhe khud se door kiya, ab inn nazdikiyon se darr lagta hai Om," She said and looked away. He helped her sit on the sofa and removed the glass piece. She squealed and closed her eyes firmly, as tears trickled down her eyes.
Saathiya... Saathiya
Saathiya... Saathiya
Saathiya... Saathiya
Saathiya... Saathiya
"Just leave!" She muttered.
Jo na keh sake tum
Jo na keh sake hum
Kehne lagi
Dono se wo
Khamoshiyaan... O Saathiya
"But your wound..."
"Leave, I said!" She said and looked away.
He tied the dupatta around her injured foot and turned to leave. He looked at her. She was looking at him, her eyes portraying fear in them. He wanted to stay, but knew that she was adamant and wouldn't let him, so left.
Saathiya... Saathiya
Saathiya... Saathiya
Saathiya... Saathiya
Saathiya... Saathiya
*Flashback*
"Why do you affect me so much Ishaana?" He mumbled to himself. Tears trickled down his cheeks. He wiped them and stared at her portrait. He didn't know why, but he was painting her...he was painting her pain...He was painting pain...
Jo na keh sake tum
Jo na keh sake hum
Jo na keh sake tum
Jo na keh sake hum
