Let's get one thing straight, Ishana is not poor. She wears really nice clothes, she lives in a nicely decorated house, She got a laptop with internet (through which she stalks Obros) and she is not starving for food. So in no way, we can say that she is conning others to survive because that would be understandable. Anyone of us would do anything to survive. She just doesn't have the luxuries that Oberois have.
Secondly, Like someone else mentioned, She should have stood up for herself and her sister. Her father does not care about her or her sister so she should have just let him be and left with her sister. I know that sounds cruel with all that notion that she has a responsibility towards her father and all, but her father threw her and her sister in front of the goons so she should have done the same. Also, it would have made her stronger than typical Baichari-beti type. and Also, it would make more sense if she conned in order to survive herself and provide for her sister after leaving her father's house.
My rant is over with the hope that whatever is left of Ishana's character, hopefully, CVS will make something solid of her like other characters in the show because if not than Vrushika's talent will be wasted
