It was going to be serious but Bade Papa smartly took everything fast. It was his intelligence that he is safe now.

Ranjini actually I too think he some where is not convinced that he loves Ridhima and he can be happy with her for life long.
Remember the convo with ShivRu he said what's wrong in living your life with the person you love.
So I think he subconsciously not sure about his feelings for Ridhima 😕
