Hello everyone, first of all. This is my first post here, but it's something I've been meaning to say for a while and couldn't resist any more. IshKara are probably one of the most fascinating pairings on Indian television for me at the moment, even before their love story has actually begun! The idea of having a con-woman opposite Om as a character is something that has so much potential that I can't even begin to imagine the kind of creative things that can be done with it, keeping the core personalities in mind.
To me, Om and Ishana are like two warring worldviews, one that sees the world in blacks and whites, rights and wrongs, lies and truths, honesty and dishonesty, and one whose very existence is premised on grey territory. There are things Ishana has been raised to believe that she needs to do to survive, things she thinks she needs for a 'good' life outside the struggles she has seen. And yet, in Om she's likely to find that one great irony that can alter her entire perspective towards life: that material welfare is not necessarily true well-being. To have money is not tantamount to having never struggled at all. On the other hand, Om - who is all about honesty and truth - could find in Ishana the recognition that everything is never just black or white. Her presence in his life could lead him to question a lot of his own beliefs and maybe even work as a kind of healing influence, enabling him to stand up against his father's infidelity and not go down a self-destructive downward spiral. Right now, Ishana is everything Om thinks is wrong with the world and Om has everything Ishana thinks is required for the perfect life. And yet, both their assessments are fundamentally flawed, which is what getting to know each other could eventually lead them to understand and evolve with as individual characters too.
There are just so many things that could be done with these two personalities when they are brought together. They could be each other's medium to discovering new ways of understanding life itself, through each other's eyes. There will be conflict and angst and clashes of all kinds...and that is precisely what could make them so interesting to watch!
