Vrushika Mehta! (Background info + sns id's)

Just to help out in getting to know Vrushika Mehta, I wanted to note down a brief bio on her work so far. Hope it helps! And looking forward to her being part of the show!

Vrushika Mehta was female lead actor of TV show Satrangi Sasural (Kaira) in Zee TV (concluded March 2016), and former lead of Dil Dostii Dance (Sharon) on Channel V (concluded on January 2015).

She is 22 years old, and has been part of the Television Industry for about 4 years. She is an amazing actor and versatile dancer, and has garnered hundreds of thousands of fans over the years through her performance in the globally popular dance based youth show. She is a contemporary dancer by forte and a versatile performer. She has performed over 25 duet dances in all forms of dance and many more group and solo performances in the show, along with played the complex role of Sharon Rai Prakash, the college diva. She has won the Indian Television Academy Awards on November 2014 for Viewer's Choice Best Couple of the Year, making Vrushika Mehta and her co-star Shantanu Maheshwari the first actors to win an award for a Channel V show. She also featured in the Telly Calendar 2015 by MarinatingFilms as one of the 12 TV female actors, and took part in the calendar again this year. As Kaira in Satrangi Sasural, she was nominated for Best Actor (protagonist as daughter-in-law) in Zee TV Rishtey Awards 2015.

Vrushika has also played the lead as a possessed woman in an episode of Fear Files, and role of Amrita as a terminally ill patient in the 5 episode series Twist Wala Love on Channel V. She has played the role of Sanaya in an episodic of Pyaar Tune Kya Kiya, where she played a college dance diva who becomes an amputee. She played the role of Rukhsar, a law firm student in Yeh Hai Aashiqui, Tina, an MBA student, in another episode of YHA, and recently Shaina, an oppressed sister of a dangerous brother in #PTKK.

Vrushika has performed on a solo dance on a Bollywood song and a group dance,at Zee Rishtey Awards 2015, for which she got a lot of appreciation from the audience and industry.

She has recently partaken in the new Web Series project of MarinatingFilms called Desi Explorers, a travelogue series of 5 industry stars, where she has travelled to various beautiful landmarks in Jordan and Taiwan, which is currently airing at the official Youtube channel of Marinating Films.
