If this is the case, then Om also knows the same as there have been scenes where Om asks Shivaaye not to say anything.

However the point is Rudra loves Shivaaye more than Om.

I don't think that Rudra really loves Shivaay more than Omkara. I mean, saying that your first cousin is more to you than a brother is just a saying to emphasize the importance of someone in your life. Furthermore, I guess the brothers take in different roles in each others lives and saying one is more important than the other isn't easy. Well, at least that's how I see it. Besides, the Oberoi brothers seem to share a deeper bond than your normal sibling bond, anyway. But that's my opinion 😊

We had seen how close Omkara and Shivaay are, till now, and today Rudra described his and Shivaay's relationship beautifully. 'Mom, Dad, he's both for me' - and that sums up their relationship nicely.

That is true he Shivaaye had been the parent which Rudra never had. But till date we were thinking that since childhood it was both Om and Shivaaye who were protecting him, but it seems that it was only Shivaaye. If at all Rudra is the illegitimate child who was imposed onto Jahnavi, Om's anger towards the kid is understandable, perhaps he was the one who brought Om and Rudra in terms or might be Om was too depressed to take care of Rudra (Shivaaye at least had a slightly better childhood with no parents fight and dad's mistress around.)

However your point could also be valid, he was not actually comparing Om and Shivaaye but just saying that despite being a cousin he is more than a sibling. Om and Shivaaye were his protection and hence whenever he even saw them arguing he intervened with his silly concerns so that they do not part and his protection layer remains unharmed, but today he couldn't have even done that

@bold: Now, that would be one very, very interesting plotline! I have been reading theories on this forum about Shivaay not being a real Oberoi or Rudra being illegitimate etc... though, the latter seems more probable to me. If CVs are planning to bring any such twist, I hope it'll be something like what you described, something that'd add more layers to the brothers' relationship.

I don't think Om did any less for Rudra. It is seen many times that Rudra is more free to Om that he is to Shivaaye, in the angel episode too Rudra just said that he brought the candle as Om asked for it. And Om readily accepted the blame and covered it for him. When he did this in front of Shivaaye (who we all know would not do anything even if he knew the truth, he would have done the same earlier as well. Also about fighting for Rudra, both Om and Shivaaye did it, till date they have never shown a difference in the love of the two brothers towards Rudra, only their mannerism differ.

Actually on rewatching the scene even I felt it was not a comparison but just a general statement to show his love. Had Om been hospitalized, he would have said something similar for him as well
