I love that Shivaay and Omkara are both shown as powerhouse leads, in their own respective way. They both get a forefront in terms of storyline and neither one of the three brothers is sidelined, they all have an important part in the plot and it's consistent and fair story telling that is the key behind it.
Omkara today was the quiet determination and strength that we have come to know him to be. He is so fierce and so just of his own attitude. His strength is his conviction that he will never be like his father. I applaud him for it. The fact that he day in and out fights for not himself but his brother's against the man who is only by name is his father, says so much about the power of him.
Shivaay on the other hand who has been born and raised in utter privilege, money dripping from his very pores, is so coddled by his own lifestyle that he's never been exposed to anything outside of it. Which is why his disgusting and insensitive remark to Anika's brother will pay a heavy price on his guilt. This man is so blinded by his own falsely glittering life that he behaves almost inhumanely with people outside of the small circle he's approved for himself. For someone who's determined to not put a price tag on things in his life just like his mother, he's proving to be a lot more like her than he would want to admit. The price of his insensitive remark will come back hard, because karma entertains no fools, and neither does Anika.
