In Islam, there's different types of divorce.

Triple talaq or talaq bi'daah is when a man gives 3 divorces in one go after which they are divorced and after the iddat period can not get back together unless the woman remarried, consulates that marriages and gets divorced. According to zara Kabeer marriage contract this type of divorce cannot happen between them. This is not meant to be the correct method of divorce.

The 2nd method mentioned in the Quran and sunnah is where a man gives a woman one divorce. Then there is a waiting period of 3 months in which they can get back together. If they don't they are divorced and would need to remarry to be together. This can be done 3 times and the third time they are no longer able to get back together unless she remarried and then divorced as above.

The 3rd type of divorce is Khula where a woman can seek divorce from her husband.

So if he only gives her one divorce then they can get back together either during iddat or remarried.
