Wait I'm confused

So about Kabeer becoming the new Qazi. How does it work? Has he already become the Qazi as Zaara was referring to at the end of the last episode, or is he like job shadowing or interning or something under Zaara's father?

Kabir is a naib qazi which I think is a Jr. level post who gets automatically promoted to the main post qazi once its vacant and the main post won't be vancant till Zara's father either resigns or dies. I don't think Shahbaaz would go to such extent now that his dreams are almost fulfilled but Ruksar might in order to fulfil hers.

Naib kaazi means deputy kaazi still junior...after irfan kaazi he will become that main kazi and the whole lakhnaw seher will pray namaz behind him. Yes at least one episode they could have show celebration of kabir become the naib kazi but as we know this show don't believe in dragging so they end it in one episode. Ruksar was talking about if irfan kazi die or resignkabir become the main kazi ...but i dont know if they really planning to murder irfan by ruksar the blame might get on shabaz and zara will misunderstood whole ahmed family.

I'm guessing he's the heir.
