My review of Ishqiyaat.

  • Good concept
  • I liked Rrahul's acting specially when he was narrating his story. The baritone suited the scenes making it kinda intense as was needed as per the concept.
  • Alisha was good. Though I found her abit OTT in family scenes
  • However the romantic scenes were not good as evident from the promo. Couldn't connect to them.

Totally agree with you. It was everything but not a love story that they promote so much. Time i guess play a hindrance in the story built up.

That constant Allah Miyan was so annoying 😂😂😂

Romantic scenes were used just as stepping stones to bring out the main plot of how and why he became a gangster. Just put there on between to give Kabir a vague background. Frankly, I'm not interested in more romance. They can totally skip Aalisha and romance in the next installment and i wouldn't care.

My 2 cent :

from the trailer itself i didn’t expect much from storyline and movie was okayish for me .

rrahul was good in gangster look but i felt he lost some essence in romantic boy role . His baritone is his plus point but he need to work on his expression too .

Even during immj days he use to waiver at some points especially emotional scenes .

aalisha was overboard for me . At every point i felt plz low down .

For me romantic scenes were just like man not needed . And sorry i felt no chemistry.

Sorry if I wrote something wrong first thing I was not comparing them with anyone neither riansh nor purved( I haven't seen purved so I won't comment) i wrote zero chemistry as it was a passionate love story that part was completely missing as their scenes didn't give me that vibe it is sololy my views
