Part 3 :

"Vansh I don't think it's a good idea" Kabir extended his neck on the couch and streched his legs as his intervened fingers supported the back of his head.

"Kabir, stop it" He banged his fist on the wall and screamed, nearly intimidating Kabir.

"Do you really Want me to bring her in VR mansion?" Kabir suddenly asked composing himself, and Vansh had looked at him puzzled, cocking his brows, he went closer to him and sat on his toes looking straight in his eyes "yes"

"But Vansh...bhai" kabir smirked "can you do anything to bring her back?" He asked quietly studying him. Vansh inhaled sharply unable to bear his nonsense but knowing the scenario he nodded in agreement.

"Deal then, Maa k badle Ridhimaaa" he said bluntly,hitting the nail right in the coffin. Vansh has clenched his jaws to control the urge of giving his half brother a black eye. He got up with a jerk and walked towards the windowpane and after staring out for a few seconds he spoke "You want me to bail her out?" He paused for a bit "it's no surprise, what else can a imaandar cop like you demand? A murderer walking freely in the streets?" He turned his stormy eyes back to him

"A murderer? Something that you wanted Riddhima to be?" Kabir gave him one of his smiles "Vansh, Ridhima has partial Amnesia not me, I know who you are and I know how you've treated her in past weeks. Ye ethics and moral ka lecture tumse to nhi chaiye mjhe" Kabir has slowly walked towards him

"Will you do it? Or not?" He asked sternly, knowing very well the ball is in his court.

"That's all you want?" Vansh asked managing to retain his composure

"Yes" he walked back to comfortably lay down on the couch.

"Unless you don't want to-"

"I will do it" He let out instantly, wanting hard to bring Ridhima bck.

Vansh bit his lips, he tried thinking but he knew there was no way out, last night he pondered, switching sides but he knew he has no choices. Well 2 days back he had, he had the choice to love her, to accept her, forgive her, but instead he kept being the ass that he is. He knew even if he tried the limits of his guts, Ridhima would never come here, even for the sake of a patient if Kabir didn't want her too. She would never disobey him. She trusted him with closed eyes and she loved him blindly. Something that he had the opportunity to enjoy even if for a few weeks. Wasn't he her life and breath too? Her life started and ended with his name, she could have done anything on the blink of his eye, he could have had dozens of kisses and hugs and cuddles but what did he want? For her to take a life? He asked her, a doctor out of all the people to take a life? His grief and mourning could wait now, but one thing he knew for sure is that Ridhima would do anything for the one she loved and right now that person was Kabir and he couldn't let her be with that *astard for even a second.

"Vansh" Kabir brought him back to the reality

He turned back to look at him

"This is confidential, no one should know anything.. and don't try to be over smart" He said, his voice more like a threat.

Vansh glared him and without saying a word left.

"Welcome Ridhima" She read the banner outside the mansion as she took her time to rotate her head and gawk at the huge building

"Ye to pure hostel ka double h" Ridhima stretched her hands to show how big it was

"Why didn't you take me here before?" She pouted, looking at Kabir who was engrossed in his phone. "Kabir" she poked him

"I was about to but--"

"Pardon him, my brother is an idiot" Vansh Intervened, he had been listening to her since she entered and was dying to talk to her

"No Mr. Singhania, he's very smart" she chirped shifting her gaze to Kabir "have you not told them you're an undercover?" She whispered innocently

"He knows" Kabir smiled which changed to smirk as Vansh shot him dead glares

"Ridhima beta" Dadi circled the diya around her and smiled "nazar utar rahi hu" she said looking at a confused Ridhima. She reached out to her and softly brushed the back of her hands "Tu agai h na ab, sab theek ho jaega" she said followed by a kiss on her forehead.

Ridhima's eyes moistened. Was she dreaming? She has been an orphan when three years back Kabir came in her life and she made dreams of happy life happy family with him. Kabir was an orphan too, until he found out his mom and here they were. She hugged the old woman standing in front of her, and she had to admit, the feeling of having a family was different. A different kind of happiness.

"Dadi, ab bus baadh ane wali h, kisiki tanki behni shuru hogai, Ridhima ka rona shuru hota h na to bus.." Kabir joked, as Ridhima poked him.

"Esa lag raha h tumhari family meri family hai'' she said slowly, wiping the tears off her face and smiling

"Tum or mai alag thodi hai" he said, partially to make his grip on Ridhima he had to and mostly because he wanted to irk the man standing aloof. He narrowed his eyes to look him fisted and hardened ready to jump on him like a hungry lion. Kabir was enjoying it to the core.

Dadi has made a sad face as she looked at Vansh, to see her DIL beside another man even if it was his other grandson pained her, but she had to do it, Vansh had told them the entire story, obviously in brief and she couldn't chose who was more wrong probably it was half truth,Vansh hiding most of what he did but she loved Ridhima and for ber well being she will forget and forgive.

"Come inside Bhabhi" Ishani said warmly, smiling ear to ear.

Kabir was taken aback, he gave her a skeptical look and muttered something under his breath, probably "what happened to the bitch"

"Are we supposed to live here?" She asked Kabir in a shushed voice looking around the big mansion. Kabir nodded in agreement.

"To kya ye Kabir k room m rahegi?" Aryan has said, loud enough for everyone to hear. Chanchal has pinched him and told him to shut up.

"Of course not, we are not married" Kabir said sternly, receiving mixed reactions from everyone. Vansh was shocked, he had assumed him to be the most lecherous person on earth but this did surprise him and he was happy unless he saw Ridhima mouthing I love you to him.

"Dadi, apka pota na heera h heera" She said smiling

"Heera my foot" Vansh gritted his teeth and muttered rudely

"Kuch kaha?" Ridhima asked him but he denied.

"come I will show you the room" Vansh said and looked at a frowned Kabir from the corner of his eyes, he signalled him to keep quiet and walked upstairs. Ridhima followed him after passing a smile to Kabir.

"This way please" he said gesturing towards their room and pushed opened the door.

"Come in"

She stepped in and gasped at the enormity of the room. She swept her eyes through the room. The kind of room they show you in movies, she self thought. She had a pretty good home that she shared with Sejal but never she had been in a room like this, maybe because she didn't think it was necessary, most of her savings going straight to support the orphanages. Her eyes scanned the linen curtains, untouched and shiny, and red. The bed was king sized with a colorful bedsheet. She chuckled loudly.

"Something amiss?" She heard the man standing next to her and cursed herself. She licked her lips and denied by moving her head sideways.

"This used to be my room. I think you will be comfortable here, I might come to take some of my stuff, if you don't mind" he Completed without taking his eyes off her.

"Your room?" She cocked her eyebrows and turned to lock her eyes with his "and colorful?" She giggled "what was the fuss about white flowers, huh!" She rolled her eyes as her eyes landed on the vase full of colourful flowers, what a jerk, she thought.

"People change" he said following her gaze to the vase

"Within 2 days?" She scoffed and Vansh didn't know what to tell her. Caught off-guard with no answer to her question, he decided to change the topic.

"Sit" he ordered without looking at her. A flash of fear passed through her at the intensity of his voice. Without uttering a word, she sat on the sofa, gulping. There was a dead silence in the rooom before she decided to break it "did you like it?"

He knitted his brows in confusion.

"The party I planned for you" she smiled

"Did you plan it alone?" He asked his voice dripping with curiosity. He knew Ridhima was sent by Kabir, he wasn't sure if their first meeting was also planned by Kabir, though he remembered beating him black and blue that day.

"No, It's not my profession, I am a physiotherapist, i was a proxy for my friend Sejal" she said, not realising where the conversation was heading. Vansh was thrilled, so the second time her met her and she told him she did this for extra money was a lie. The meeting on the cruise was fixed. He hoped he could meet the Ridhima he was meeting now, untouched by the filth of the world and fearless.

"Mr Singhania" she snapped to bring him out of his reverie

"I'm sorry, I think you should rest now" he said gesturing towards the bed and licking his lips.

She nodded in agreement finally getting the time to be alone.

"Thank you Mr Singhania" she got up to walk him towards the door considering he has given her his personal room and was beeing extra nice.

"And" she stopped him mid way and he turned to look at her hopefully "if you see Kabir, send him in" she said blushing and he had bit his labial mucosa upto the point that it bled. "You should stay away from him" he spat bitterly, his emotions getting the best of him.

"What?" She widened her eyes startled

"I mean, alone, you are not yet married and I don't want anyone to speak ill of you two" he said trying to make up for the damage he did in the heat of the moment. She nodded still not convinced with his answer but probably shrugged it and went inside the room leaving him alone in the corridor. All he wanted was to barge inside the room and hug her from behind, exactly like she used to when she pacified him, when she was trying to apologise. But he was too late. He didn't know for how long he stood there, but it felt like forever "Vansh bhai" he heard Ishani yell

He looked towards the direction of the voice and saw her running towards him "Vansh bhai" she said breathless

"Sia" she pointed her finger at the back towards Sia's room

"She's conscious"
