Hi Guys, just wrote a OS using my imagination. Hope you all like it.
Riddhima was visibly shocked after hearing the conversation between Anupriya and Kabir. She could not believe her ears. She had been used, BETRAYED. She definitely did not deserve this. She was not able to hold back her tears. She made a dash to her and Vansh’s room as it was her safe heaven now. Even when vansh is not around, his things made her feel protected. With her unshed tears blocking her view and unaware of the approaching person from the opposite side, Riddhima clashed into the person and was about to fall on her back. Thank god for Vansh’s quick reflexes, he grabbed hold of Riddhima’s hand and pulled her towards him fiercely. With the force of the pull, Riddhima hit his chest. Unaware of the turmoil that she was going through, Vansh taunted Riddhima.
Vansh: “I know sweetheart I called you a magnet for problems but that doesn’t mean you go around proving my point! Are you a small kid? Where is your attention? What if I never catch hold of you. You need to remember that I won’t be there all the time to catch you’. As soon as Vansh said this, Riddhima shuddered. Feeling her fear, Vansh lifted her chin to see her. He was caught off guard as he stared into Riddhima’s face. He thought his words had hurt her deeply as her tears were now falling uncontrollably. “Sweetheart” he called out and that was all Riddhima needed to hug him tight. Without a word, he carried her in his arms to brought her to their room.
He gently settled her on bed and kneeled in front of her. “Riddhima, are you ok?” He asked. He noticed that Riddhima was clenching and unclenching her fingers. He had a flight to catch in few hours and he could not bare to leave her alone in her vulnerable moment. “Angre, Angre!” He called out and his most trusted man came sprinting on his call.
Angre: “Yes boss”
Vansh: “Cancel the meeting that is supposed to happen in Dubai with the Sheikhs”
Angre: “But boss, that was a important deal that you were waiting for”
Vansh: “Just do as I say Angre”
Angre: “Yes boss”
Just as Angre was about to leave the room, Riddhima called out to him.
Rddhima: “Angre, don’t cancel his meeting. He will attend it”
Vansh: “Riddhima, I think you didn’t hear what I just said. When I say something, that goes without saying. I am not going. Especially when you need me here.”
Riddhima: “No Vansh. I am not going to let you jeopardise your work for me. Please get your meeting done. That is more important. I will be able to manage 2 days without you. Go and attend the meeting and come back! I’ll be waiting for you”
Vansh could not understand what had happened. As Vansh was about to deny Riddhima’s request to attend the meeting, his phone rang. He answered his call and it was from his clients in Dubai. He wanted to outright postpone the meeting or cancel the dealing itself as his priority was his wife. He quickly went out of the room and spoke to his clients. After the call, Vansh felt more relieved as the meeting was cancelled as his clients had an emergency.
He took quick steps and reached the door of his room. As he twisted the knob, he realised that Riddhima had locked it. “Riddhima, open the door right now. What are you doing?” , vansh called out. He attempted to open the door but it would not budge and Vansh was getting more worried. Not hearing any sound, he was about to break the door but stopped after hearing Riddhima’s voice.
“Vansh, I would like to stay alone for awhile. Please!”, said Riddhima. He wanted to plead with her to at least open the door so that he can make sure she was alright but he understood that she needed some time alone. Leaving a her alone would only mean that she would be overthinking about whatever that had happened with her. In order to distract her, “Think again Riddhima, I will be away for more than a week. Are you sure you do not want to see me off?”, Vansh asked.
Riddhima stood near the door and thought about AP and Kabir’s betrayal. As much as she felt betrayed, somewhere in the corner of her heart, she felt relieved after crying her heart out. She understood that her tears were not because of the betrayal that she felt in the hands of kabir. She felt guilty for not validating the information given to her and had jumped straight into claiming Vansh as the criminal. Now thinking about all the past events that had transpired, she understood her growing comfortability with Vansh. He may not be perfect but she knew that he values his family and would do anything for it but did his family included her. While lost in thoughts, she heard Vansh mention something about more than 1 week and his distant footsteps.
“He is leaving for more than a week. No! I can’t stay away from him for that long. I only said ok for two days. I can’t let him leave. I need him with me now!”, thought Riddhima and quickly opened her door to stop him. Before she could reach him, his car had left. Riddhima could not control her tears and sat on the steps crying. Seeing her crying, Dadi too sat beside her concerned. “what happened beta”, enquired Dadi.
“Dadi! He left without seeing me. Please ask him to come back now.”, said Riddhima hugging Dadi tightly. “Who beta? Who went without seeing you? What happened? Come on stop crying now. Let’s go inside the house and talk.”. Dadi led Riddhima to the sofa and sat her on it. “Now tell me what is bothering you?” “Dadi, Vansh left without meeting me. He will be away for more than a week. I can’t stay without him for so long. Please ask him to come back!” Dadi felt amused at this husband and wife duo. Both loved each other so much but always put up a front like the other does not matter.
Unable to tolerate Riddhima’s tears,
Dadi: “Beta, he did not go anywhere. He is here only.”
Riddhima: “No Dadi. He just left in the car. He said he will be away for more than 1 week.”
Dadi: “No beta, he is in the study room only. Go and see for yourself”, and wiped the tear tracks on Riddhima's cheeks.
Hearing that Vansh is in the study room, Riddhima sprinted to the room like her life depended on it. She saw Vansh standing near the window lost in thoughts. Without sparing a thought, Riddhima hugged his back tightly and sobbed more.
“Riddhima, what happened? You are still crying? Look at yourself. You are going fall sick if you keep this up. Come on, stop crying now”, said vansh while hugging and pulling her to his front.
Still hugging him tightly, Riddhima continued sobbing. Worried about her health, Vansh lifted her chin to see her face.
Vansh: “Tell me why are you crying?”
Riddhima: “I thought you left without meeting me. Mr Vansh Rai Singhania, you listen to me now. You are not allowed to leave me at all. You get it. You have to stay here with me only.”
Vansh chuckled looking at Riddhima’s face: “Relax sweetheart. I am not leaving to any place. My meeting was postponed. I was just playing with you to get you out of the room. Now look what you have done with yourself. You are looking so scary with the make up running here and there. Are you preparing yourself for some halloween party?”
Riddhima: “Shut up. I didn’t wear so much make up.”, and turned to check her reflection on the window glass.
Vansh: “What are you looking for sweetheart? Your make up? Of course, there won’t be any make up on your face now cause it's all here”, and pointed towards his shirt.
Vansh: “Come sweetheart, come closer and take a look at the artwork on my shirt.”
Riddhima’s face burned in embarrassment as her mascara and lipstick had smudged onto his shirt. She looked up to his face, smiling sheepishly.
Riddhima: “Sorry. I can wash the shirt for you.”
Vansh: “You are going to wash it? No way!! I am definitely not going to hand over this shirt to you. It’s a momento for me. I am going to frame this up.”
Riddhima: “Vansh!!!!”
Vansh: “Hahaha! Come, let’s go to our room and get your face cleaned up before someone else gets scared. By the way, can I get a selfie with your scary face.”
Unable to bear the embarassment, Riddhima just hit his chest lightly and hid herself in his embrace muttering “Stop it now”.
