Why do people like Vansh exactly?

I just started watching the show and I already get that everything here is just so over the top for a thriller as compared to season 1. Now coming to Vansh, his dialogues are just blah... his character is like the usual abusive Male lead that treats the female lead like a punching bag, classic case of a toxic relationship. What exactly do people like about him and why is he being glorified exactly? He is a criminal, kills people mercilessly and is ruthless. He seems to be borderline negative yet people find that hot???

And Ridhima is so weird, just because her boyfriend asked her to go and infiltrate VRS house and marry him, she agreed to do so? Like marriage is a big joke and that guy Kabir claims to love Ridhima but he actually made her participate in his crazy pursuit of VRS and endangered her life. All the three characters are so messed up.

I agree with you. I Know no one in this world is perfect. Every character must have it's own flaws and mistakes but these three characters are full of mistakes. Vansh is a hardcore criminal. I think he killed many people in past and the sculpture in the backyard is the proof of it. He is a fugitive felony n a traitor for country. He delivers speech regarding fidelity and loyalty . But he himself is unfaithful towards his country and destroying the future of youth by druggs supply and killing dedicated cops like Neha. He wants to know about ridhima's originality but he himself is hiding numerous things from her. For him there are laws in our country. He will be punished at the last no doubt . Remember Neha's last words " koi ek aisa insan ayega Jo usse uski uchi udan se Kat k niche le ayega'' and then riddhima collides with Vansh's photo and it falls . But what about the positive characters. Ridhima still dreaming to be with Kabir despite the fact that he forces her to marry Vansh. She doesn't have a little bit of respect. She is actually a puppet of Kabir. And she delivered speech on love but she herself doesn't know about true love. It has no condition but Kabir's love has. And Kabir , how did he become CBI officer. I doubt on his abilities . He is spineless man and who can go to any extent to prove that he is right.

I honestly don’t like Vansh, but Riddhima and Kabir are even stupider and annoying compared to him, like I’ve never seen such stupid protagonists when it comes to love. What kind of a guy would ask his fiancé to go and spy on his enemy and if that wasn’t enough he actually asks her to marry Vansh who is an unpredictable hardcore criminal, who could literally kill Riddhima any moment the way he killed Neha and which girl with any kind of self respect would agree to such a request? I can’t tell who is worse, Vansh or Kabir because I hate them both, and Riddhima is so spineless and daft without a mind of her own, she can talk back to a guy that can literally get her killed but she can’t stand up for herself or plain refuse Kabir and his unwarranted requests? she’s going to end up like a football between the two guys.

I like Vansh because for once I like the villain of the show. I have seen a long list of vamps and villains, but none of them succeed in leaving a mark. To be honest, this has happened the second time, after Rahukaal in Savitri, if anyone has seen it.

There are heroes that have left a mark on me in a couple of shows like Maan Singh Khurana in Geet, Shivraj Shekhar in Balika Vadhu, Devvrat Dixit in Kuch Rang Pyaar Ke Aise Bhi, Rohit Sippy in Kahaan Hum Kahaan Tum, Hanuman Singh from Patiala Babes. All these male leads had their flaws and ups and downs, but I liked each one of them.

I like Vansh because he is a villain who commands a good screen presence as a cunning, sly, crafty, devious man. In fact, even Riddhima as a female lead falls short before him and so does Kabir, who is the quintessential hero material.

And honestly, there are very few shows which have heroes who are not grey and toxic, barring a few. And heroines, are no less of a doormat. I don't know how love entitles someone to treat a person as a commodity and a person who is a victim actually thinks this is love. Hence, neither I like Riddhima at present, and Kabir does not even measure up to being on my "like" meter.

For me it’s all about transparency. I don’t mind a dark shady character if I know that’s what they are. I loved Marlon Brando in Godfather and Zac Efron in his Ted Bundy doco. Neither were type of characters you would want to take and introduce them to your parents. I loved Shahrukh in Anjaam and Darr. Again not someone I would introduce to my parents but I respect the fact that they had the guts to take on a shady character and execute it with finesse.

Vansh for me is similar. I know he is not a guy a girl would fall for if she knew about him but he is loyal to one thing - his job. He isn’t making his wife or family do his dirty work for him.

Riddhima and kabir they are beyond words. Kabir who proclaims to be an agent ( what kind only he knows) and other who loves that agent are two misfits. Laurel and ret***dy who have dropped the ball countless times. I don’t much care for love as for me character needs to be built first. Kabir and Riddhima have a toxic relationship however with Vansh there is a sense of authenticity.

I also like the fact that this show has an element of darkness and after watching countless simple love saga I wanted something different. Will it hold my interest long term? Don’t know but currently am enjoying this very much.

:-) do not know if this was a rhetorical question but I stumbled upon this show accidentally was intrigued when they said a thriller I saw few episodes recent and old ones and am left confused what exactly is that is so thrilling abt this one 😬 same old butter would not melt in my mouth bcos I got no brains FL the only thing different is a spineless jerk cop Who uses her in the name of desh Bhakti making the mental abuse and emotional torture legitimate . The less it is said about these two the better 🙄

As for the other guy VRS though the supposed villain of the show is at least is on the up n up does not hide his arrogance or attitude and is not even apologetic about it . That said my two cents is may be his is the Only character that is being Well written in the show adding in a surprise brainy element meaning at least one character has some much needed brains . Rest all is filled with the regular Narcissistic black widows with expertise in kitchen politics .

If they can keep the interest And suspense going and May be pump some gumption into the FL who will not keep touting the name of her miserable Lover boy story might make its mark .

so to me only the VRS guy makes some sense may be that is why he is liked most or I could be wrong even .

I don't get why do people owe explanation to others and get judged for what they like or not?

If someome loves vansh, they are entitled to and don't owe you any answer.

If someone like kabir, they don't owe any answer to me because i don't like that guy.

If someone like ridz , they don't owe any answer to someone who don't like her

I like Rrahul's acting and his dialogue delivery. They way he speaks them and i like the dialogues. Different perspective.

I can differentiate between fiction and reality. And i like grey leads. I wish they make ridhima some grey role too , but she is your typical ott female lead. I don't associate my morals with a drama and it's characters. I see fiction as fiction.

Infact he is much better than kabir who sold out his gf for mission.

I loved murderer Mohana from nazar who ate her husband and then wanted her son's life.

I loved shesha from naagin the most who killed her sister for a guy.

So i like ur so called abusive, toxic leads. I don't find them abusive. They are just interesting to me than simple characters. If i want to watch simple characters, i can watch any crap.

Vansh is neutral to his character sketch. He is mafia don for lord sake. Mafias can do anything without caring about law. And the only one he killed was female officer who in turn wanted to get him caught or killed. Although it is not even sure so far. It was fair game. Tit for tat.

It was kabir and ridhima who came into his life, his house. Did he sent them invitation to come ?

Ridhima had chance to run but she got married for her lame boyfriend. The same cop who was ready to sell his partner for mission.

Vansh is true to his role as mafia. I must say pretty tame. Mafias don't give you chances. But the other 2 characters are far worse.

Anyways people should leave their judgement on others and stop demanding explanations from them, why does they like someone or not.

First let me ask you some questions because I am curious to know did I missed something. where it was mentioned he killed so many people? How you know that so called agent team is really working for country? Where it was mentioned that he is traitor for country? When he behaved abusive or manhandled female lead? I never saw him pushing and pulling like so called male leads on ITV
