HI Heytz, liked your post. Talking about symbolisms I was rewatching engagement epi of 31/7 when Riddhima comes down in her engagement dress wearing a white flower in her hair- going back to epi 1 when they first met over the flower arrangements where she mixes red flowers in the white only flower arrangements- Vansh said "only white flowers have the colour of grace" . Riddhima's observation was that "white had pain and dejection in lonliness which she could see, therefore when white is combined with other colours it gives them grace and other colours combined gives them life".
When she proposed to Kabir she wore no flowers in her hair.
At her engagement with Vansh she wears a white flower symbolic of both purity as well as grace, lonliness and dejection.. of all the colours she could have chosen to wear I thought this very symbolic.
Vansh wears a back abd red outfit, red being passion and bringing life - bringing life to what she thinks is going to be a souless dead arrangement she is keen not to enter into - their marriage. Black being the absorbtion of all light and white being the reflection of light - there is a lot of unspoken symbolism going on here.
So true and very apt!! Though she is not happy and not at all ready for this relation yet somewhere unknowingly she is getting bound to him!! Karmic!!
In todays epi of 1/8 Vannsh presenrs her with a bouquet of red roses - the dialogue that followed was suberb Riddhima alluding to love, loss, betrayal, passion, light, dark, suuffering and death. Who knew the gift of roses could brimg out such intensity. Riddhima is warning Vandh to be prepared for pain. She is nor at all intimidated by him. He has met his match.
Yes there are times when she fiercely puts forward her POV .. sometimes very subtly yet firmly she makes her points .. and he listens!!
Be ready Vansh roses have thorns that like pricking. When Vansh broke her fall in the puja arrangemebts he said her fingernails were sharp & were pricking his neck...now he gives her roses and she warns him that if has so far only known to give pain & suffering then he needs go get ready to deal with pain because she's here now and she is going to make him suffer.
As characters Vansh can kill for passion and Riddhima can die for love... interesting to see if this will be reversed and how love and passion will either bring them together or drive them to oppisite ends.
Yes the start will indeed be painful for both ... its an emotional turmoil for both ... torn between love, hatred, duty etc... but I feel relations that have pain emerge out the strongest!!
By the way how did Riddhima hurt her hand, is it to prevebt wedding ring being put on?
I don't think so as the Monday precap shows her right hand is hurt.
Her ring is intact along with her mehendi in her left hand.
