Onam is celebrated by the people of Kerala( one of the states in India)...it's our neighbouring state😃...ppl decorate their houses...wear new dresses...play in swings..draw rangolies with flowers...sing...dance...arrange grand feasts(called sadhaya)..a vegetarian meal...they believe that their beloved king mabali visits his country on this day to see his ppl living happily😃

I have read that it's to also celebrate Harvest (during this time of the year).

Like Tulsi said, it's celebrated on a very grand scale in that particular Southern state.

I should say, I am very surprised to see Mishal aware of this ( maybe he has some friends

who are from that region ) & happy to see him sharing his wishes on social media :-))
