I feel that Mishal's answered a number of questions in this interview. 😳 How are you always able to read our minds, Mishy? 😉 We're aware that you're a nonconformist, but all of our suggestions come from a good place because we want you to reach the stars. If we grumble as fans, it's only because we have such deep aspirations for your career. We know what you're capable of on screen and are proud to be your fans! ❤️ I'm confused about one thing though. Is he still making his series or has it been delayed? 😕

People don't trust actors easily: Mishal Raheja

In a career spanning 12 years, Mishal Raheja has done just eight shows and two guest appearances. While most of his contemporaries are part of the much-cliched rate race, slugging it out with multiple shows and appearances, the actor says that he is in no hurry. "I'm a nonconformist and I don't believe in joining the bandwagon. I like walking a different path," he says.

Last seen in 'Ishq Ka Rang Safed' (IKRS) almost a year ago, Mishal says that he is now on the lookout for something new. He elaborates, "I want something in the romantic, action or thriller space. Sometimes, I like the story, but the producers don't like me, and vice-versa... but I am itching to get back to work as I miss shooting."

Tell him that he is perceived as a difficult actor to work with and he says, "I get upset when I am performing a serious scene and, despite repeated requests, the people around me don't stop giggling and joking. But that's for the betterment of the project. If that's called tantrum, so be it. Such reports would upset me in the beginning, but I have no complaints now, as God has given me a lot."

After pausing for a few seconds, he adds, "This is not the only misunderstanding people have about me. They also think that I am a mehengaactor. See, am I wrong in asking for a hike in the second year of a show? Everybody, including the light boy, deserves a hike after a year. Having said that, work comes first and I would never arm-twist anyone."

Meanwhile Mishal has also turned producer. "I have always aspired to be a producer and am making a series, which has been on my mind for almost five years. It got delayed because I believed that our viewers were not ready for it."

On the personal front, he says that he was in a relationship, but broke up long back. So, what went wrong? "She was not from the industry. We wanted to take the relationship to the next level, but it was not meant to be. We wanted different things from life. Also, my profession was a matter of contention. People don't trust actors easily and no matter how much you try to convince them, they assume that an actor is frivolous. I couldn't have nurtured a relationship in that environment," he replies.

However, the experience hasn't changed Mishal's faith in love. "I think it's fantastic, though difficult to find in this day and age. Today's generation doesn't understand the depth of love. Love is about respecting a person," he says, adding, "I plan to settle down, but the decision is vested with God. I will get married when He wants me to. I am sure that the right girl will enter my life at the right time," he signs off.

I am now confused on the web series part.

What does he mean by " It got delayed because I believed that our viewers were not ready for it."

How did he find out the viewers were not ready???? Mishal, when do you think viewers will be ready???

I just hope that you and PH of any new show come to an agreement willingly and we get to see you back on our screen with a good show.

I'm not understanding his comment either and knowing MR he isn't going provide any clarifications. 🤔 I just hope he hasn't abandoned this idea altogether. Don't know when we'll get to see him on our screens in that case. 😭 I know Mishy's very straightforward and I can tell this interview was straight from his heart, but I'm still having a hard time believing him about his comeback. ❓ His actions and his words are in total contradiction of one another. 😕 You know how much we all love you, right Mishy? Please don't lead us on in this premonition if you have no plans to return. 🥺 I don't know how LTL fans managed all those years ago, but your IKRS fans aren't as persevering. 😔

Oh yes...many questions answered...as always honest / heartfelt replies from Mishal 👍🏼

To me, this is the first I heard him elaborate about his past reln.ship & the last para...

his belief that the right girl will come in at the at the right time...I like his confidence..😛

Yes Mishal, trust in God & your good fate to find your absolute right mate...😳

@ Dazz & Ami...about the series, I see no confusion. I think he is referring back to the past 5 yrs

When he first started thinking & planning to work on a new series. It's also clear he is making a new series. The only question I have is why no news about it to his fans who have been desperately

Waiting to hear something more. & why has there been such a delay from when he announced

it?

Just like he is itching to get back to work, ...lets hope & pray that

Mishal finds a great project with a sensible PH & light up our screens

With his amazing acting very very very soon.

Ditto. Why isn't their any news on his web series? Even the interviews he has given in the past few months have had no elaboration on his series. I'm just not comprehending this mystery. 😕 Let's hope and pray he'll sign on a new show soon.
