Our face remains our most obvious and valuable asset in communicating what we feel and think to others...Humans are a complex admixture of a myriad of emotions love/hate, pleasure/displeasure ,to name but, a few. Humans like animals have feelings, how best we reveal or conceal our feelings may depend on where we are born i.e social permissiveness or constraints, limitations or not of expression what we really feel or think... The beauty is that each culture, faith, or socio/ moral perspective of an area does have an impact in how we express our feelings by our face... I have to say here that life would be minus interaction with our species which would be tantamount to death... without are facial expressions, as we are supposed to create and multiply , live not alone, but part of a group, unit and not on our own as a singular entity!
Interesting, how unknowingly technology , media etc also influence how we express feelings via the face and all its features... A stereotypical influence that may creep in and make our judgement hazy when looking at facial expressions, is preconceived ideas peoples, nations, and races... e.g we may generalize that the Brits have a stiff upper lip, whereas the Yankees are more smiley and relaxed, that the Orientals have a more serious look about them, whereas the Africans tend to be very natural in their facial expressions... Complete generalization , for where I live, I am blessed to have known either as a friend, or colleague each of the above mentioned nationalities and I learnt that nations are essentially people... and people are individuals... and individuals have personalities that are patent to them...
However, putting these issues aside, [sorry me digressing] the complete face ,and not just the eyes, remains the focal point in the human body which transmits our emotions, thoughts and feeling and gives a personality...
It was such a privilege to see the king of expression Mishal Raheja on screen, the way he portrayed each and every moment with changing his muscles of facial expressions is really commendable. So i decided to make this thread as a tribute to his facial features which made all d characters he played very much alive and very close to our heart.Post written by:Hamlet53
