Avasthi's Situation !!!

What made avasthi's resort to become con artists,thieves ? If they were wealthy before how in the world did they lose their money? Did they indulge in gambling? What about raja's father? He is no where to be seen...just soon after dhani's ex husband died they became bankrupt 😕 Uske atma ke saath paisa gaya hai kya? Did they lose in some business or were they always after others property as it's their habit? Why did they get their son to marry dhani ??? Was she rich intially??In initial episodes they have shown dhani and dulari in some big haveli...how did they end up being poor now?? Do share your views.

may be like mehr said dhaani's ex-husband was step son of ra's mother and all the property must have been in his name...after his death there must have been some complications in ra and his mother having his property...so now they need money by getting ra married to shalu,may be with that money they think they can fight the case or something to get hold of dhaani's dead husband's property...in one convo ex-mil said they need to gain back their money and reputation by utilizing the money they get from rasha marriage...

Mystery around Awasthi family looks creepy at every point of view. Maybe RA is the sole reason to loose their assets. I'm putting him in all shoes like gambling. And I will go with Jaz view, that makes sense. Interesting post!

I think after Dhaani's husband's death, the property naturally will go to Dhaani. Or some such thing in the will. Raja must have tried to marry Dhaani for her money. He said something to Dhaani like that you used to wait for my phonecalls.

I don't think Dhani and Dulari were well off as I clearly remember the wicked Mrs. Awasthi mention that the 1st alliance(presumably between Dhani and her former husband) was not a lucrative one and was done on the basis of Dhani's 'shakal and surat' so it was not for any financial gain that they chose Dhani as their 'bahu'. Also Dhani being illiterate points to the fact that she was poor . This is the essence of what I got to feel so far.( However the cvs might shock us one day and turn tables by showing Dhani quite educated after all .) I think the Awasthis had earlier been rich but may have squandered their fortune by indulging in a hedonistic lifestyle( Dhani's husband was a drunkard and probably did no work) . Even Raja seems to have no occupation or profession and is wayward. So now they are desperate to regain the financial status they once had my marrying Raja to Shalu. To do this they are resorting to cheating and evil pretence.

But Raja is behaving well like returning the purse to the widow.

Trying to buy something for them. Prevented by his mother.

Not approving the ways of mausi.

Before meeting Dhanni or Suman, he seems to be a decent guy.

Seems he genuinely loved his brother.
