Good thought , but however BDS are used when Main leads time constraints due to absence or some emergency . Nowadays we used to see BDS very often , Slowly ISHQ KA RANG SAFED turning into BD KA rang safed .
Its depend on production team managing their timing .. One clarrification, why they cant choose wide angle with multile cameras , so that time will be reduced and leads will be free (otherwise , it would be more time constraints for actors and will be exhausted ) .
Yes yesterday episode , Dhaani looked flat (it is one of the most important scene) and Viplov guesture was not proper. (this is one of the draw back ) .
