Wonderful take, dear Hammie. Very apt description of the newly weds. The Dhani-Dulari scene was also nicely narrated by you, and gave it a new angle for all of us to look at.
its the scene that makes dhani feel rotten.. them two go back along time..
Some thoughts for today:
oooh great😃
This hidey-hidey business of the marriage, me does not like one bit. In fact, it is totally contrary to who Viplav and Dhani are. Dhani is all about truth, and Viplav cannot hide anything even if he wants to. Both have a naivete and openness about life, about relationships, about the world, and now suddenly to hide one of the biggest things in their life is tantamount to living a life of self-denial.
well put aimf.. however they have gone beyond their noses.. shalu gets settled is important.. beti ka mamala hai.. some senstivity expected from joint families is expected.. besides this chup chup.. bit the viewers seem to warm to.. the how will they meet..? its the adventure element and aimf... what do say.. they both enjoy, adventure.. viplav knows , nothing will stop him from getting to her! she looks forward to that.. me thinks its full on courtship. as in shuhag raat? might as well have a bit of masti, besides it seems they chat too.. I like that..
Dhani has major issues of internalized oppression connected to her person, her gender, and her widowhood. To continue as a widow, even though she is now a married woman would underscore the oppressive messages of unacceptability and inauspiciousness, without giving her a chance to outgrow them, and develop her personality.
brilliant point! as we see it.. but cvs see the slightly sacrificial element.. put others first... caring for being faithful to vakeel babu's family...
I was a little alarmed to hear day before yesterday's "das din" change to "bees din" as the time frame to hide the marriage in yesterday's episode. 20 days, that too in serial time --a lot can and will happen. I wish Vip would fly off to Boston and take Dhani with him. That would be the obvious solution to the excessive numbers of MILs jumping out of every corner, and making Ayodhya Nivas into a haunted house. Ghoulish, eh??
veryyy.. eerie.. but think of the secret meetings in 20 days!😆 20 days of viplav's making passes and dhani catching! ooohhh chillax.. go with a flow.. now look if hammie can cope with cheesy bits😆.. why can't you huumm? nah man... top notch winning jodi naughty viplav and catching up with him dhani! good fun.. I recall his words,"khoob masti karien ge, khoob kush rehien ge".😛... thanks for sharing your brill thoughts aimf.. many thanks and much love hammie

Hey Hammie,

hi prem ratan posted something for you on the morning afer the night before
It is said that marriages are made in heaven yet it is one of the most challenging relationship to withhold and by that I mean in its composition, its understanding , its compromise , its friendship , its love and so much more. Unlike any other relation commitment required is seamless and it should be entered only in great seriousness.
fantastic expression.. I liked how you put the well known phrase marriagesare made in heaven.. yes.. many believe in them..
Viplav & Dhani after taking their vows head to AN to announce their wedding when they are confronted with their first test. Shallu's wedding may get jeopardized with our announcement says Dhani so maybe we should wait. Viplav sees no issue in telling everybody what is true and Dhani thinks that the timing is not right . For Viplav it is the matter of vanity , what will others think that he is afraid or this is a mistake and for Dhani it is her deep sensitivity to others and understanding of what a women goes thru if her wedding gets broken. "Its the matter of a few days Viplav . Lets keep it a secret " Viplav has promised to honor and cherish her gives in reluctantly . They Agree to disagree.
yes I liked this scene.. felt very contrived.. that so soon after their marriage they confront such a grim /happy issue
For me this was the best scene of the day as it was a follow up of what i was saying yesterday about the contrasting nature of these two. One who is bold enough to uphold the decision made and stand by it and the other constantly adjusting the barometer and balance each action. Further for Dhani her misfortune of being a widow is so ingrained in her soul that she sees her entire being as a figure in white. Viplav corrects her often and rightly so . Being a widow was an event and not an identity . And if I were to take sides in this conversation as to who is right and who is not it will be a very difficult choice .
welll Viplav has to see ,somehow that dhani has certainly seen the downside of life..more than he has.. there's a chunk of her past he is uaware of..
Will I side with Viplav ? Who rightly says lets tell everyone the truth . its not a crime . Infact if you hide it , it does seem that way . They love each other he has always been open about it. And the one reason I may decide to stand in his corner is that for any change to happen in society one has to take unpopular steps if anyone likes it or not . Sounds selfish yes but the mold has to be broken of trying to fit into everyone's expectations. You cannot please every body .
yes that is true, but even to stir a revolution.. one has to wait for the right time.. when it can make most impact. the facts are before viplav and dhani.. shalu's rishta..surely they can tarry a while till its confirmed..
And will I side with Dhani ? As a young girl she has faced so much . Harshness from family , society and knows how the real world works . For a man it maybe easy to walk in and announce a conquest but its the women who has to face the consequences. Further as you say ' marriage is nifty handling of your life partner and his families , physical , social and emotional needs " the burden of which falls primarily on the women. Starting on a wrong foot is not advisable . And yes in her good nature she is thinking about the family she will be joining. So maybe a 20 day period of secrecy is not a bad idea. I may decide to side with her.
i think it was one of the vows she took that she will safegaurd the interests of his family.. mind you he did too.. even before marriage.. viplav's compassion for the vulnerable and for what's just

Between all this we are getting some good romance scenes. Viplav is desperately in love and has no problem in expressing it . Sisters marriage is just a small hiccup and what is it compared to the havoc his mom has been creating . Each and every time their love for each other has increased so why get angry. Dulaari continues to live in fear as a daughters mother I can understand why so . Good she has Badi amma for support.
his mom.. is not his well wisher .. and that he has found out.. rather tragic what he is having to put up with .. her mother. dhani is the only child she has.. dhani is her wealth
I have been enjoying the post marriage episodes and not because of a shirtless Viplav or a coy Dhani which of course is eye candy but the fact that the love story has moved to the next level. The characters will have to mature and take a stance eventually and there is more turmoil ahead. Will there be more negativity - absolutely and what remains to be seen how the two will handle it. Will Viplav continue to have his head buried in the sand and will Dhani ever stop being a door mat.
you nailed it! certainly want to see his role getting meatier!..
Lets see. you may have read about Dakst leaving the show which i think takes away an interesting story line . So Shambhu's death and he DT's son may never come back .
iam deeply saddened by dakst leaving.. i was fond of trips hard done character.. hope the story doesn't sag.. replaced by a greedy mother and son
And thanks for the PM . looking forward to read earlier write-ups.
how and where can I PUT my takesratna its my current work..? me blank..cannot be a sticky post as it will change every day.. if i change the subject title of the postt.. and there are 100+ till date
Take care and talk to you soon.
thank premratan.. for your wonderful thoughts ..much love hammie

thanks doll
But I have to disagree with Dhaani's decision to keep this marriage a secret because it will bring nothing but trouble in the future for both Viplav and herself...
for the minute.. its a temporary arrangement
But I do understand Dhaani's decision for Shallu's sake and Dhaani's nature to constantly think of others before herself and the fact that Dhaani is so comfortable with her status of being a widow for so long that she is not at all jubilant to shed her colour white for freely accepting Viplav's love and add colour to her life and trust that Viplav as promised will make sure to protect and take care of her for the rest of her life.
I think.. it was a bit too much to handle.. but she followed what she thinks is right.. besides Maata's whose devout believer she is.. endorses her decision
I agree that Viplav was talked into following Dhaani's logic to hide the fact of their marriage to easily and I agree with his displeasure in hiding what he considers the happiest day of his life.
its like he's sees the wild of things she ends up taming him..
I see nothing but the CV's way of creating these kind of situations to prolong the show and end up aggravating the audience, because it belittles the coming together of two souls that have to have great trust and faith in their vows to be there for each other for better or for worse and Dhaani chooses to hide the most important decision she made to accept Viplav's proposal of love by negating the vows by trying to hide
her marriage from the same family that has tried evil ways to destroy her life for the man she professes to love.
excellently put dolly .. i agree thinking ..hang on what of their love?
Courage is what Dhaani lacks to grow out of her easy acceptance of her widowhood and fight for her love for Viplav against not only his family but the society that tells her that she is nothing but a blemish in this world.
dhani.. with his support hascome along way.. if there are failings ,viplav will be the cause ofher redemption,as she is for him..
I too agree with you Hammie that we did get some nice loving quiet moments with the lovebirds before all hell is going to break loose in their lives.
me dreading the aproaching doom
And I liked that Viplav bought his own Saffron for the milk to boost his energy and keep his dream that his marriage really happened and that it will end with the one ritual that will help him show how much he really wants her. 😉
yes good fun.. useful as it shows his sensitivity..
Thanks Hammie I have to agree with your fans that reading your post gives us all a lot of pleasure.
look it going to my head.. hope wont have my brains inclouds
Take care, and Hammie try drinking a glass of Saffron milk to energize you in your great writing...believe me it works...😛

Of course it is to prolong the show and the need to keep the girl in white.

And you are right about her failing courage and comfort with her white status that she lets others walk over .

Anyways it's a show we don't have control over so why fume.

Well said Dolly.

Thank you Ratna for your kind words. Really appreciate it.

What bothers me the most Ratna is that writers never give women their due ,when in this show it is all about women and how they are treated by short-sighted men.

Then when they come up with this great idea that we will show how NOT to treat women like men usually do , they mess it up by showing a widow that is illiterate and then NOT give her the guts to face this prejudicial society even though they have joined her with a man that is ready to support her through this dilemma.

But I agree there is no need to fume over a over dramatized show that does not keep it original promise to the audience, all we can do is move on to see if someone presents us with better entertainment.

Take care, talk to you soon.
