Grabbing the bull by it's horns has always been the tact that Viplav the trainee lawyer takes with the law enforcement agencies. More of legislative confidence and less of primary rage for the fact of Dhani's arrest and interrogation. Viplav barges in and as much he wishes to knock out the brains of the fellow in khaki uniform he denies his fists the joy , and instead firstly smirks at the officer, well! well! what do you know it's the same honest officer, who released the criminal Tripurari!! almost immediately, he looks the man of the law and calmly informs him , today he comes as a lawyer who represents Dhani.. then instead of boxes! He politely, fires a volley of rather pertinent questions at the arm of the law. He demands to see the arrest warrant? Viplav raises his eyebrows when he doesn't get one. How about the charge sheet? Well what do you know? Not taken out? Viplav gains more clout and looks around and shows disbelief. Interrogating dhani without the presence of a lady constable, pathetic! The way this place works.. Then viplav demands to be shown the fir, which the officer fails to show him! That's it he has corned the cop and is a position to tell him a few truths like , with an arrest warrant, without charge sheet , fir without a lady present , the officer is in breach of his duty and , viplav tells him ,he has a good mind to sue him for wrongly arresting dhani.. And what the law does in such cases.. He threatens the police officer, he leaves it to his imagination to work out! almost instantaneously , viplav grabs dhani's hand and under the very nose of the police he leads her out. The officer of course hasn't got a leg to stand on!
What Kanak has fixed , her Viplav does asunder! Meanwhile little does the merry widow know as she busily has a chit chat with the sleazy toe rag Tripurari.. who has an odd habit of creeping upon from behind! innuendos of him being linked to her and the household are shared with Kanak , which she dismisses ofcourse and tells him finally she is on to a winner , has packed of Dhani to the prison ! and with a smile he teases her really? and Viplav's mother smiles back smug as a Cheshire cat..what luck! how he hates that Viplav, and would love to finish him off, but long live the boy's mother who digs emotional pot holes for her own son. muses Tripurari
Talking about son.. Tripurari's father comes out to worship the Sun god. Kanak ,drunk with victory throws her pet poodle , some bones to enjoy life! Tripurari accepts the wad of notes and she says, just felt like being generous! Dashrant finishes his worship ,and turns to leave ,when he harkens! To the sound ofTripurari's name. He calls Tripurari, Kanak ducks beside the white car parked outside the gate, as Tripurari goes to meet his father who demands to know his business here.. Tripurari lies through his teeth which is no laborious task for him , and hoodwinks Dashrant that he too wishes to support him in his grief over losing Shambu, but he is helpless as he out of the house. Dashrant rejects his false sympathy tells him, just because he has maintained silence doesn't mean , he's not watching! he warns Tripurari, like Viplav he too suspects him ! and the day he comes across an aorta of evidence against him ,that day will be the last day of his mother's life!.. so now as viewers we find out where Dashrant stands on this one.. beside Viplav.
Yes after getting Dhani released on the basis of his trade of sharp interrogation judiciary style! Viplav brings her into the reception of the station where the widows wait and rejoice their saviour has yet again saved Dhani from a serious murder charge. But Viplav has to annul his mother's charge against Dhani ,and he rectifies it by bidding dadi to tell it as it was that night. Dadi confirms that Dhani was in the house, but she was with her at the time of Shambu's death. Not a second did Viplav wait as soon as the suspicion charge was dropped!
Out side in the lobby of the police station though , he grits his teeth and complains to Dhani he's had it up to his neck with his mother! He cannot deal with it anymore, he would confront her about this new story that she cooked up. Dhani shows sensitivity and works to calming him ,rather than to instigate him. she explains , he has to show patience, she is undergoing trauma at the moment but Viplav is in no mood to comply ,and retorts offhandedly , true , but it doesn't mean that she gets her arrested! Dhani can see he is getting furious and she tries the same wear by the head oath taking!.. today , right now she wants him to swear by her head , like she swore by his yesterday! swear that he wouldn't be angry with his mother. Viplav is touched by her act of exercising her right over him.. but not even for her, today would he swear to agree with her demand. For Viplav believes his mother has to be corrected ,and the right facts have to put before her ,so she can back off from Dhani and see how her whimsical accusations cause trauma and disruption in other people's life.
Dashrant goes in after saying his piece ,and Tripurari mockingly returns to the merry widow Kanak who levels up from her crouching position against the car and she asks what was the old fogey saying? Tripurari , disloyal , low levelled and a turncoat , replies scoffing at his father, nothing much , before the oldie used to wind him! now he is in position to wind him up! and they both make fun of a common enemy , the stumbling block they wanted to move but much to their dismay , the old Tirpathi still stands as the grand old oak tree!.. Kanak's glory is short lived as one phone call from the station tells her darling boy has reversed her action! Tripurari taunts her, she's lost her husband , donned on the cursed white sari but still she has been unsuccessful in creating a split between Viplav and Dhani! he warns her she'd better sort this one out as her son will return shooting all guns at her!..
Dhani gets a mouthful from Dulari back at the Ashram , it's a good thing Viplav got her out !dulari screams in Dhani 's ear she had warned her not to go for the soul's peace worship , but she didn't pay heed to what she as a mother told her! does her on thing! Inderani calms Dulari's tirade and suggests for spiritually tranquillity , a worship should be kept here in the Ashram and Dashrant , dadi and Viplav should be asked to come , so prayers for Shambu's soul to rest in peace can also be incorporated in the worship. Dhani is given the task to organise the items needed for the ritual. Always keen to meet Viplav ,Dhani suggests she would inform Viplav's family too. but Inderani seeing that Kanak cannot bear the sight of Dhani , declines the idea and tells all she would go and invite them. Raj laxmi is asked to inform Suvarna ,but on her own ,as Tripurari is a source of unpleasantness before Viplav. it is commendable how the widows always use wisdom to avoid situations that are likely to blow out of proportion..
All blazing guns! Viplav returns home and yells for his mother ,asks shalu ! and then roars for his mother goes to her room and finds her perched up on a stool fitting a noose hanging from the ceiling fan ready to hang herself. Viplav stands in the door way petrified at the scene! dramatically Kanak kicks the stool as she knows Viplav will raise the alarm and she will be helped down. her distraught children Viplav grab her and coughing ,spluttering n once on the ground she screams like a despondent victimised widow, get away from her! doesn't want to live ,whats the point no one loves, all have turned against her, even her son! her son tells her off! let her die! Viplav kneels beside heron the floor and rocks her in his arms and shalu weeps bitterly at the stage of her estranged mother. Dashrant watches her performance, theatrically Kanak feels the rug where Shambu was found dead and she howls let me die at this same spot! like my husband! she bangs her brow on the floor and Viplav cries out what about him and shalu her children.. she feigns , after his babba left ,she can't tell right from wrong! all have turned on her , he as her son won't understand, the pain of a widow! but she can't live with him .. her son and she clings to him insecurely and Viplav protects her in his embrace as his mother she doesn't want to lose him she caresses the back of his head and smiles mockingly, how can she live without him she cries crocodile tears ,and Dashrant watches her in utter disgust as she holds her son in a treacherous embrace! Kanak to me in this scene emotionally abuses both her children, she manipulates their genuine love and concern for her. for Viplav she continues to tear him from Dhani and to support her as the needy traumatized mother. She stages this scene all the more to dilute Viplav's anger at her for getting Dhani arrested, by diverting his attention her fake mentally sick state. Everything about her is false, her marriage , her love for her two children, only the love for herself is the truth in her.
Dhani meets Suvarna , invites her to the shanti pat , and clearly tells her she needs to come without tripurai as Viplav doesn't get on with him. suvarna offers to get the holy water. for the ritual.
The moment for puja arrives and so do Dashrant , Viplav and dadi. Dhani is allowed to sit next to Viplav in the puja. They look at each other tenderly . Tripurari the unwelcome turns up ,much to Viplav's displeasure and Tripurari starts to ignite the situation by saying to Dhani before all that he's brought all the stuff she asked for the puja .viplav glares side ways at dhani and Dhani looks confused. But Tripurari loves winding Viplav up so he says , he's had an ablution in the Ganges and now he is ready to participate in the worship. Tripurari knows that his motive is to wind Viplav up , silently badger him , rake Viplav 's anger so he gets up and leave so this puja too is ruined .Viplav does stand up and storms off in anger! much to his Ashram families dismay. Dhani begs him stay don't leave the puja! She called Suvarna not him! but Tripurari takes her name Dhani ji with his foul mouth and Viplav 's fury can be seen in his eyes Tripurari says check if all the stuff is complete? Dhani than challenges him she didn't ask him to bring anything!or invited you! but Viplav says coldly , pointless now Dhani..and then he apologizes to the widows ,forgive him but cannot sit in this worship now, and Tripurari cuts in him being here is creating a problem than he'll leave! because he doesn't want that this puja should stop.. he puts viplav on the spot who is ready to leave. Dulari too begs Viplav to stay ,but Viplav glares at Tripurari as if he'll eat him alive! Dulari says ,forget what happened , misunderstandings happen , please sit down for the puja.. dadi too pleads to Viplav to sit..so we can start..tripurari draws attention to himself again.. he wishes to say something .. and Viplav than starts his cross examination of the suspect , can he say before every one how he was released from prison? Can he tell every one how come as soon as he was released my father died? Can you tell us how his ring ended up near babba? can he speak the truth Tripurari! that he kidnapped Dhani! that he tried to kill him and Dhani? can he speak the truth Tripurari ??? Viplav could kill the suspect ..the gobsmacked Tripurari! Viplav looks down at Dhani ,jerks his arm out of her palm and looks into her eyes.. see Dhani I asked him questions and you can see he stands mute.. because Dhani he is guilty as hell ,but you Dhani, think your vikal babu suspects him ... then he turns his face from her goes to the door ,Dhani begs him vikal babu!dont leave the puja incomplete .
I'll ask him to leave! but Viplav has lost the sanctity of worship , he is furious! and he walks away from the ashram ,as Dhani cries and runs alongside him.. she grabs his arm and forces him to stop ,at least listen to me! and he gives her a fury ridden answer don't expect me to sit and pray for my fathers's soul to rest in peace with my father's murderer! that's why let me go! and she begs him.. she knows he doesn't like Tripurari , I hate him more than you do! and he snarls at her with fierce lion like eyes, it doesn't seem that way Dhani! and she begs him, as she tugs at his arm , just come inside I'll ask him to leave and Viplav clenches his jaw and says, the moment I see him my blood boils! I don't want any desecration to happen in the Ashram and he marches off in anger and she calls after him ,I'll tell him to leave! listen to me! she cries..but Viplav had enough .. he was beyond listening , even to dadi ,or to Dhani.. leave him be!
super episode.. seeing the cross examination of viplav at the thanna and the ashram.. kajal , eisha , mishal great.. and i warmed to dadaji today.. is the man turning a new leaf? Hamlet 53, 21 .1. 16
