People seldom suspect their family especially their own mother of stabbing them in the back. It's not expected, as how can the woman who gives birth to her child , destroy something that brings joy to the child. Kanak reminds me of Medusa a Greek mythology half human half winged creature , that was a beautiful gorgon, with snakes coming out of her head in place of hair.. legend is whoever looked upon her face turned to stone.. The episode is also about how a pair of tricksters , dupe their immediate family to gain ulterior motives .As such, these people are usually free from boring issues of all morality, faith or otherwise. Without any snag they can dexterously pile lies upon lies to hook wink close family members without them suspecting anything. In Kanak's case it's her darling son Viplav and for Tripurari his insecure , giddy and terribly in love wife Suvarna
No situation is sticky enough for Kanak to wrangle out of quite easily . She has certain strategies she uses to shield herself from exposure one is to lie though her teeth. Cunningly she turns the tables that transforms a well thought out manipulative act into a plausible truth but one with underlying benefits to achieve a personal motive. Under the guise of humility she states with great finesse and innocence , she went to visit the mandir and she thought of dropping by to see Durga as it's ages since she saw her.. When she got there she saw what was going on . She thinks it might be her fault as she met Suvarna and Durga , and mentioned her desire to perform puja in mahtura but couldn't make it ,but Durga offered to go in her place instead..now she feels that had Durga been there Suvarna's incident could have been averted.. But Shambu her dim wit husband asks her spontaneously , if she had sent Durga away herself then why did she go to Suvarna's house to see Durga..??so as god wills it he uses the mouths of the so called fools to expose the wise schemers! Viplav is on red alert ,and then Kanak turns on her waterworks of the poor bullied, disrespected wife. Viplav like the true son of his loving mother, gently rebuffs his father and closes the debate as far as he is concerned his loving mother saved the day.. Kanak of course delights in her victory of duping her beloved son Viplav! what a performance of a trust worthy mother Kanak gives before her son.. for to keep Viplav under her loving maternal mantle and well away from Dhani and back under her control! is the ruthless reason for all her charades before the family. when will Viplav see through her? the answer is Viplav's moving towards redemption.. in this case, from the labyrinth of familial guile..
Suvarna goes to the prison and tells her sob story to her husband , vows faithfulness and he mockingly of course believes her entirely and gives her such a performance of a trusting husband! but when she leaves he sneers at the naivety of his simple wife who he himself exposes to shame and ridicule just to come out of the cells.. so to speak .and all hell will be let loose when he comes out..
At the Ashram concern at Suvarna's safety is shown. Dhani tells them Viplav will arrange for Suvarna to be at his house. Dulari comments it would been advantageous for Suvarna if Viplav and his family forgive Tripurari . Inderani out rightly disagrees as he behaved criminally with Dhani hence he deserves to stay in. Dhani too informs she tried but Viplav has told her firmly that she is not to give Suvarna false hopes that he would get Tripurari released as he should stay in prison for his serious crimes. Inderani backs Viplav's decision.
Heart to heart connection.. Viplav stares at Dhani's photo ,and decides to phone Dhani and whinges , why do you take ages to answer the phone? at every ring I miss a heart beat one of these days I'll end up with a heart attack! and she goes just stop it! you have a habit of ringing me at at a time when all are round! how am I suppose to answer? what will they think ,and he sighs, what can I do my bag of moans, you always find something in me to crib about, but tell you what , nowadays I hear love in your complains too ..and I like it... however I did one thing right and you will have to agree too , and that is to fall in love with you .. isn't that true humm? tell me am I right? go on say something why have you gone all quiet? Dhani smiles and then asks why did he ring and he says ,spoke to dada ji about Suvarna and he said it's fine! and tomorrow she'll come here and stay with us till Durga maa doesn't return.. Dhani is all smiles and thanks Viplav and he assures her he looks out for her, so not to worry as he is around.. just trust him but he reminds Dhani severely, but you Dhani need a check on your emotions , you must not say anything to suvrana about getting tripurari released from jail. and Dhani replies , I'll try my best and he replies abruptly , Dhani I have to go ,I'll speak to you later..and Dhani wonders why did he cut the phone suddenly? Dhani's phone rings and she thinks Viplav has rung back but it's scream Suvarna asks for help ..dhani finds out from Raj laxmi that they are under attack by a mob carrying torch lights.. Dhani assures she'll get there asap and she phone Viplav too.. Viplav tries to ring back Dhani ,but her phone is engaged.. Viplav talks to her photo and teases her, and who are you chatting up madam?
Kanak enters Viplav's room and firstly takes his phone off him! to disarm him from the weapon which will be perilous to her live drama that is taking place outside Suvarna's house.Next she entangles him in her maternal web and traps her son's head on the paradise place for a son his mother's lap! where even a grown son ,once again becomes a baby boy on his mummy's lap forgetting all his worldly woes.. the wicked real mother , can see Dhani's phones come through to him but she keeps cutting them out with one claw while with the other she baby talks the joy of her womb! Her boy child! her son Viplav! who rests his head on mamma's warm lap, lulled by the feel of his mother fiend Kanak's hand... Viplav thanks his beloved mother for forgiving Dhani ,he apologizes for his off behaviour too, while Dhani rings and she cuts the calls .. then puts her darling son to bed and bids him to sleep ,with the order no more talking on the phone . tucks him .. turns off the lights.. puts his phone on the silent mode ..and both Viplav and his phone go off to sleep..
Dhani frustrated ,gathers all the widows and heads for the police station, reports matter, demands for attention but is told they are out patrolling. Tripurari knows she comes because Suvarna is under attack thanks to Kanak..tripurari from the cells begs Dhani get him released ,begs her to forgive her ,he has repented. But Dhani is reluctant due to her word to Viplav.. she resists and runs out of the police station..
Pitch battle between widow s and the mob with burning torch lights .. wanting to barge in! Dhani grabs the torch from ones hand and stands guard at the entrance of the house and fights.. shouts if any one comes any closer she'll burn them! one shouts insults at her ,look whose talking.. the girl who trapped maha pandit's pota! becomes a saint now , Dhani shouts at their accusations what ever they say did see any of it with their own eyes? and they reply that man told them and she shouts hearsay is not proof! if they didn't see anything ! they have no right to attack this woman! .. a fight takes place between widows and the mob and the police arrives and Suvarna is saved and Dhani and the widows take her too the Ashram..
Kanak sneaks into her son's room, he's fast asleep , she deletes all the calls, switches it back on.. and sneaks out of his room.. suddenly she faces her godfather.. who wants to know why she is lurking about.. and she replies she thought he's gone to fetch Suvarna to live here , she fusses it's a shame instead of one widow another one too will come and live here.. and he blames himself for accusing Tripurari for the engagement ,so its Tripurari whose creating this mess.. and Kanak pulls a face nice one! killing two birds with one stone.. such is Kanak's move over here she creates distances between tripurari and babu ji and over there she makes distances between Dhani and viplav ...
Soon Kanak's villainy continues , although she has some battles to her name the real victory only comes when the war is won.. hamlet 53 9. 1.16
