The curious case of Viplav Tripathi

Ok so here we have a pleasant happy go lucky carefree kind hearted guy with a conscience. He's well educated n aspires to make a career abroad. He loves his family and doesn't hurt anybody intentionally. If he does then he apologises without much hesitation. He loves his grandmother. Takes guidance from her. But fails to notice the ill treatment given to her by his own mother and grandfather. He infact looks up to his grandfather but chooses not to see how he ignores his dad. He loves his dad but ignores the fact that he's neither loved or respected by most. He respects his mom but turns a blind eye to her rude n curt behaviour towards his dad n grandmother. He dotes on his sis but doesn't raise his voice against his mother's insensitivity towards her. Agreed he visits his place occasionally but aren't things too poignant to go unnoticed? ? Or is he afraid to confront. Is this happy go lucky attitude just a facade? Or is he living in a bubble? He's loved n pampered by all. But is that enough? Is there a storm raging inside waiting for an outlet? Or this is just a weakness in storyline? Really CURIOUS to know the real viplav. It's time they showed the other side n hopefully the real side of viplav.

Nice post. Indeed, Vipz is a bundle of contradictions. I think the writers are trying to show that being pampered and sheltered, he is not very sensitive to others' pains. It is not that he is lacking in empathy, but he is not aware that everyone does not have the happy-go-lucky experience of life that he has. Vipz gets what he wants and when he wants, and he is able to live his life, for the most part, as he wants, and being raised an entitled upper class man in India, he has no clue of exploitation and suffering faced by those that are disadvantaged, be it women, disabled people, or widows.

I like this show so far because it is hopefully focussed on Viplav's coming of age to appreciate that life is not so rosy for everyone that he encounters. As he matures emotionally, he will be more aware of others' pains and sorrows, and also his part in perpetuating the suffering of others. I think that Dhani will have a big role to play in this awakening for Viplav. What is often a game for him (first the alchohol in the water pot, and now the ashram eviction case), is a matter of life and death for Dhani.

Such a nice post👏 ..actually viplav has not seen the harsh reality of life..thats the reason he finds everything funny...i guess due to case viplav will slowly understand dhani and eventually fall in love...but i am not sure for dhani...i strongly feel vipu is going to marry dhani to shut the mouth of the people...and thats where their story will start where vipu is in madly love and dhani thinks he has done this marriage because he feels pity for her i just want to see to what extent vipu goes to get dhani love and attention and bring her on his track😳.

very well analysis over his character ..yes he never shows his real side to others ..he keeps it under rug..
and about ignoring dad's and sister's humiliation... I guess being grandson he has fear not to give back answer to his dadaji..he thinks that his dadaji is an idol person ..but when vipu will take a stand for dhani ,eventually will get married with dhani ..then we would srr the conflict between these two..
and it started already ..now this is just wait of case to start..

Good post. You descriped Viplav's character very well. Add to this his opinion about women. His flirting with girls, living in his girlfriend's home, knowing she loves him, but he is using her, without caring about her feelings, and how will she feels heartbroken when he leave for US ..

He is a selfish man no doubt. He wants to live happily, but he has something within him. Something really good. He accepts a case of helpless widows, got injured defending a helpless woman without even knowing her, he cares for his family members..but accepts them as they are, he doesn't judge any one. He is peaceful. He has a scoop for improvement once Dhani's love show him true life.
