JUDGES

SHEKHAR KAPUR

The movie-maker has long been synonymous with talent the world over. He discovered the talents of Jugal Hansraj, Urmila and Ahmed Khan when they were kids and introduced them in his movies. He also discovered Preity Zinta even though that film never made it to the screen. He also found Seema Biswas and made Cate Blanchett a name to reckon with in an Oscar nominated film. What is Mr. Kapur looking for in IGT?

Staging and Performance :Can the act stand on its own or does the stage, the crowd frighten the performer and is it a complete act by itself or can it be shaped up to be one for the next level?

Expression : Can the performance mean more than what it shows and says, does it have a greater significance than what is obvious?

Ability : That unique something that a raw talent has, which will enthrall audiences the world over, that only his experienced eyes can fathom.

KIRRON KHER

The accomplished actress who has straddled stage and silver-screen with elan and grace has come to Maruti Suzuki presents India's Got Talent to look for the next great performer. An emotional woman, she will look for the stories among the performers, picking up the ones with the most human-interest value out of the crowd. What is Ms. Kher looking for in IGT?

Talent : Pure, unadulterated talent. The greatness of the act/performance, the uniqueness, the Indian-ness of it.

Character : Who and what the person is, is very important to her. Will the audiences root for the performer and make him or her win in the final face-off?

Entertainment : The talent needs to entertain, not just be good.

SONALI BENDRE

The glamour girl of Bollywood has been an accomplished judge and brings her vast experience in reality shows to the fore.

Looks : How good and pleasant, how eye-catching is the act/performance - she is looking at the aesthetics of it: how they use the stage, use the props etc.

Stage Presence : Will the act be any good on any other stage or platform? Being a performer herself, she will know when acts are great in a small auditorium but not any good on the big stage.

Emotion : Because of her nice and warm personality, the performers will open up to her and talk to her. She'll bring out the drama of dreams that most performers in this country go through in order to bring their talent before the world.

HOSTS

AYUSHMANN KHURRANA

Ayushmann Khurrana, a Chandigarh native, is no stranger to the talent world. Having completed five years in theatre, he was a founding member of DAV College's active theatre groups. In addition to this, he has won numerous accolades for the various roles he played.

A thirst for travel is what prompted him to audition for MTV Roadies 2.0 and his charisma, personality, and skill is what saw him emerge as the overall winner. In Khurrana's own words, being an actor and a radio jockey automatically makes you a VJ, and Roadies' get jobs with MTV. Having bid his time on MTV Wassup, Khurrana has made the crossover into the GEC world with his partner-in-crime to co-host the biggest talent show in the world; Maruti Suzuki presents India's Got Talent.

For Khurrana it is awe-inspiring to share the stage with some of India's best talents. He says, "the judges, the participants, the stage, the live audience, it's going to be one overwhelming experience!"

As for his chemistry with Nikhil Chinappa, the connection between them is awesome. Nothing is scripted and nothing really is expected. He goes on, "we don't know what the participants are going to perform, whether they'll excel or make a fool of themselves. Judges are equally unpredictable. By the end of it, it's our individual take on it, we could be politically wrong but I'm sure the audience is going to love it."

NIKHIL CHINAPPA

Recognized by his great abs, rings, piercings, tattoos and love for good music, Nikhil Chinapa, is a name synonymous with MTV. Having hosted shows such as MTV Select, MTV Chillout, MTV Discover n Download and more recently MTV Splitsvilla 2 and MTV Connect, Nikhil has made the crossover into the GEC world to co-host the biggest talent show in the world; Maruti Suzuki presents India's Got Talent.

Born in Bangalore, Nikhil studied in Hyderabad Public School and graduated from BMS College with a B.Tech in Architecture. However, destiny had other plans for him; in 1996 he won the MTV VJ contest which signaled his entry onto the small screen, a world away from the architecture he studied.

As for the talent world, he thinks it's fantastic that India finally has the show that's created a storm all over the world. He believes "Maruti Suzuki presents India's Got Talent is an opportunity and a platform for people who've always wanted to show the world who they are and what they're capable of." He goes on, "It's an opportunity to showcase, not just raw talent, but to bring together the country's culture and its peoples' diversity on one stage."

He can't wait to be a part of the circus. For him, "it is a crazy circus for magicians, dancers, singers, fusion acts, bands, salsa performers, fire jugglers, contortionists, percussionists, and so much more."

ROSHNI CHOPRA

Well known to the GEC circuit, Roshni Chopra gained popularity as the youngest sister of three in an ever-popular serial. Prior to this Roshni made waves in the modeling and theatre circuits. Talent is a word that she relates to. Model, Actress, Presenter, these are just a few of her avatars alongside being an acclaimed dancer and singer. With this in mind, Roshni is more than capable of being host to Maruti Suzuki presents India's Got More Talent, a half hour segment that will take you behind the scenes and beyond the biggest talent show in the world.

For her, Maruti Suzuki presents India's Got More Talent is "a half hour roller coaster ride which will take the audience through all the fun, masti, and drama of Maruti Suzuki presents India's Got Talent." It's the first time India has a show like this and she's sure the audience will enjoy watching it.

For her fans, watch out for her new avatar in Maruti Suzuki presents India's Got More Talent, she can't wait for all the crazy fun she'll be having on this roller coaster ride.

This Show hasn't been Copied
It is just the Indian version of Got Talent Series which has been launched in 27 different countries including Australia, USA, and Great Britain

And coming to the Question of the Forum being empty,
I'd not be surprised if this show comes up with a lower TRP than its international counterparts

I'd like to state here that its prime reason is the General Mindset of the Indian television viewers that this Forum is so very inactive
while the conventional Daily soap forums, showing nothing substantial but only fake Drama, take away all the attention
( Yes, we do have some exceptions which show meaningful stuff )

I'd request the viewers to
Please Do Watch at least one or two episodes of the show
and it will take you closer to the real talent prevalent in India
and keep you glued to your couches

Because it not only focuses on only those Talents, for example Singing Dancing or Acting, which are the chiefly attracting people and taking away all the Limelight, like most reality Shows do
But it allows contestants to put forth any and every Talent which they excel in or can do well...

Its my guarantee that you will find more meaningful entertainment in the show than what you get in the usual melodramatic Prime-time shows

hi nikkie

yes i agree with you....this show is really very interesting and shows a multitude of talent, unlike those run-of-the-mill serials. .. in fact, this has become my favourite show now...myself and my family enjoy it together thoroughly.

the content is wonderful, mindblowing...sometimes the peformances of the contestants is simply fabulous and unimaginable...great

and of course, the show has its funny, hilarious moments as well...for example..the guy with strange hairstyle..who wanted to act like Akshay Kumar...like Sonali Bendre, I too was laughing holding my tummy.....

great show...perfect blend of all types of art...be it folk music/dances, contemporary singing and dancing, group events.....

i wait for saturdays and sundays for the show..and if am able to..even dont miss the repeat telecasts.

the judges are also great...all of them.....

but i felt bad when that cute dog..'BULL' was not given a go-ahead.....he was really great..

what say?

👏
