Here is an early update from our man at the ground, Prakash Govindasreenivasan. "Hello from New Chandigarh! Blessing Muzarabani is the first one out training for RCB, but Josh Hazlewood has also been spotted, doing his stretches with trainer Shanker Basu watching on. Tim David is also here, but watching the practice from afar."

Sanket: "Ideally in the big games teams want to bat first, so that scoreboard pressure won't be there. But Mullanpur's surface is tricky one as we have seen couple of 200 plus and couple of just 100s as well. So when you dont know much about the surface, it's better to bowl so you get a lot of time to understand it and plan how you are gonna bat on it. PBKS generally likes to bat (based on this season) but in the last game they opted to chase, won't be surprised if they do same here."

Vkumar: "Hope both teams play to their full potential and we are in for a cracker of a match. Being a neutral I don't know whom to support, king Kohli's first trophy or the never tiring Preity Zinta's first."

These two teams have met twice in the tournament so far and it's locked at 1-1. When they clashed in Bengaluru, it was a rain-shortened 14-overs-a-side affair. Tim David's maiden IPL fifty carried PBKS to 95 for 9 with the PBKS bowlers putting on a show. Nehal Wadhera fought fire with fire in the chase and PBKS won by five wickets. They then met two days later and this time a Virat Kohli masterclass in the chase got RCB over the line in Mullanpur. He remained unbeaten on 73 off 54 and let Shreyas Iyer & Co know pretty well.

The RCB bus has arrived, followed by PBKS'. How about some team news? Shashank Kishore is at New Chandigarh and he has this update: Tim David was out early to do some light sprints. Didn't seem in any discomfort. But he isn't actively part of the team's pre-match routines. As of now, he seems a silent spectator on the sidelines. He had a long chat with Matthew Hayden, who is on commentary duties, and is observing the fast bowlers go through their drills from afar. For PBKS, Chahal seems fit to play, having recovered from a wrist injury.

Mustafa Moudi: Shreyas Iyer is the only Skipper to take 3 Different sides to Playoffs (All in the Top 2). His name should be written in an All Time Great Captains List in IPL !!

Avinash Nayee: The winner of Qualifier 1 advances directly to the final, which makes it a crucial fixture. The losing team gets a second chance through the Eliminator, so both teams are highly motivated.

Ronnie: RCB fans have stood strong through every high and heartbreak. "Ee Sala Cup Namde" is more than a chant—it’s a dream we carry together. Wishing the team strength and fire today. With every heartbeat, every ball—our hearts are on the field with you.
