A first playoff berth in 11 years already in the bag, they have racked up the wins and remain an in-form team across the board. In fact, in their last seven games, they have only lost one. Hello, people! How are we? What are your thoughts about the new India men's Test captain? And about the first squad he will captain in England?

If the excitement/hangover of India in Test cricket has subsided, it's time to turn our focus back to IPL 2025. Punjab Kings take on Delhi Capitals in Jaipur. Chance is ripe for PBKS to top the table and take a giant strides at taking two bites at the cherry that is the qualification for the IPL final.

The addition of Priyansh Arya at the top has added extra ammunition for Punjab. Prabhsimran and Priyansh have just deflated certain bowling attacks at the top. Iyer and co. have been very meticulous in their planning for each and every game. And these two teams were playing this game at Dharamsala with Punjab in a superb position. But then the power outage in the city meant the game had to be stopped. The restart today will be from scratch. Delhi have a chance to get a vantage point for the next season. Punjab have a chance to go to the top of the table. Let the northern derby roll!!!!

PBKS are in a different place. They are in the playoffs for the first time since 2014. Much of their success is down to uncapped Indian batters - Prabhsimran Singh, Priyansh Arya, Nehal Wadhera, Shashank Singh. Add Shreyas Iyer to the mix, and that adds up to PBKS having a unique record.

The bowling of Punjab has been bolstered by the addition of Chahal. His wizardry has helped Iyer to control the middle overs. Iyer had a successful outing with KKR last year and that form has continued even this year. He has led from the front. Axar unfortunately hasn't been able to do that. His batting has been good but the bowling returns have certainly dipped a little. DC would want to finish on a high. There were injury concerns for Rahul as well.

18:30 Local Time, 13:00 GMT, 18:30 IST: It is Punjab taking on Delhi tonight. Punjab want a top two finish. Delhi want to make a statement before they bow out. DC won five out of their first 6 games and have still failed to qualify. That is certainly something which would hurt them bad. The last game against MI was a decider for them and they went down in an embarrassing manner. KL Rahul used to play for Punjab and might want to prove a point or two. Punjab on the other side have looked seamless under the uber confident Shreyas Iyer. The 2025 squad for Punjab was built from scratch but the camaraderie shown in this season has been commendable. And Iyer should get major credit for it.
