Clinical performance from RCB as they round out their home-leg with an important win. They batted brilliantly earlier to set UPW a massive 199-run target and they came out and defended it without many hiccups. To their credit, the Warriors were largely on track throughout their innings before losing their way in the last bit. The openers shared a 47-run stand but even as wickets fell at regular intervals thereafter, they somehow managed to stay on par with the asking rate. Unfortunately, the middle-order didn't fire and once Alyssa Healy fell for a well-made 55, it was down to Deepti Sharma and Poonam Khemnar. It was a fair effort on their part but they had too much to do to get their side over the line as RCB claimed a 23-run win. The RCB players go on a lap of the ground thanking their fans for their support.

Congrats
Phew, what a game. 373 runs were scored, and in the end, RCB did just enough to hold on. They did very well to set it up during the powerplay and the first half of the middle overs, constantly picking wickets and pegging the Warriorz back. Asha, Devine, Molineux and Wareham picked up two wickets each, with Molineux bagging the all-important scalp of Healy.
There was a massive DRS controversy in between but either side of it, Healy kept things ticking.
Unfortunately for the Warriorz, it all came down to their skipper, with none of the others really getting into the act. Deepti and Khemnar played cameos towards the end, although by then, the horse had bolted.
Ellyse Perry: All five games here have been amazing. Best atmosphere without doubt I have played in my whole career. It's such a cool feeling to have such support. Have played a lot of cricket in the last two months. It's just the nature of the format, sometimes it clicks. My role was to support Smriti initially and then I could release. Really trying to pride ourselves with our fielding, it's tricky when there's a left-right combination. We put in a great effort. It was really great from the girls tonight. Great to finish on a high in front of our home fans. (On smashing the window of a display car) Not sure I have insurance here to cover that.
Smriti Mandhana, the RCB captain is also the Player of the Match: After the last two matches, we were under the pump. We had to come out today and get going. Losing the toss did not help but that was the chat - that the intent has to be right from the start. Meghana was crucial at the top to get us going and then Richa at the end. The bowlers did well too. Healy was going nicely and we did well to pull it back. (On how she is feeling about her batting) Got a little lucky on 26 but I will take that, we just wanted to win. The practice was good, playing domestic really helped. Just grinding it out, and playing more on Indian wickets - it was good preparation. I was really confident, and once you get the feel, you just want to choose which areas you want to target. (Batting with Perry) First 50-plus partnership (for us), she made me run a lot of twos, which was great. The only chat was using the short side and we thought of seeing Ecclestone off. That chat was really important. A lot of times she said I will go, you wait and vice versa. We never thought we were out of the game. Chasing 198, we knew they were going to go hard. We had to keep doing things right, target the stumps and at different times, different bowlers took up the pressure and got us the breakthroughs.
Crucial win for RCB as they now join Mumbai and Delhi on 6 points. They outplayed their opponents in all three departments tonight and gave their home-crowd a lot to cheer about in their last game here this season. The bandwagon moves to Delhi and we'll be here to bring you all the action as the Delhi Capitals go up against the Mumbai Indians tomorrow
Congratulations to RCB for their win over UPW.
Congratulations to Smriti Mandhana for her brilliant performance.
It is a clinical performance from RCB as they round out their home-leg with an important win.
Thank you, Prizi, Rosyme and Soni for updating the scores and giving feedback on important happenings on the field.
