But when we think of Sita though, the Shri in palace is more shaant than Bhu during haran.

Also, Rukmini was never chanchal was she?

Generally, Satyabhama is seen more chanchal than Rukmini.

Not exactly. Bhu was shaant during Haran. She cried and told Ravana firmly that her Lord will come, pretty much as she did when Hiranyaksha kidnapped Her.
But the Shri in the palace is with her pati, while the Bhu in the forest is separated. It is with His name that she surrounds herself so that nothing happens to her. In Kamba Ramayanam, Sita compares herself to the Earth.
It is only in Rukmini and Bhama that the characteristics got exchanged. And Bhama was never chanchal. She ran from one place to another, unrestrained for she is also like the wind.
Rukmini was Shri. She did move, but no one recognized it.

I agree. Satyabhama seems more chanchal and naughty than Rukmini, and sweeter too,

Satyabhama is the only avatar of Bhudevi where Bhudevi's inner natkhat was brought out 😉

Maybe Bhama was not exactly chanchal, but on what basis is Shri called chanchal?

I mean, is there some story behind it? In general, Shri is never shown as aggressive or anything.

I looked online, and chanchal doesn't mean aggresiveness. It means "moves like the wind".

Shri is called chanchal, for material wealth comes and goes.
Shri is aggressive in the sense, she gets angry easily when her Husband or children are hurt, while Bhu, being the Earth is calmer.

Chanchal doesn't mean aggressive. I meant aggressive in a different way.

Shri's characteristics are highlighted as chanchal as far as I know. Bhudevi, owing to her being the Earth has to be shant. She needs to be still.
The logic behind it, is that Shri never stays at one place, she is always moving, while Bhu is more stationary. If you think of it in the actual sense, we could say that it has to do with who they represent.

Hmm, I see.

In this sense, it validates my theory that the Sita during bhumi pravesh was Shri, as she was angry her children's parentage was being called into question, and thus called upon Bhu to get justice for them.

And it also explains why you said Rukmini and Satyabhama both have Shri-Bhu in them, because in that avatar, Bhama is more like Shri and Rukmini is more like Bhu.
