"Time for the incarnation? Swami?"
Parvati looked at her eternal partner. Narada appeared informing all the Devas and Devis are appearing here.
Suddenly light illuminated from everywhere marking the presence of Tridev and Tridevi.
"Devi, the Kali Asur have decided to descend on earth. But we need a divine power, which can reach earth before their arrival. It is now impossible to hold them more."
Brahma, the Creator said.
"Behen, we have decided, four Demi-Gods will descend on earth to destroy them. Won't you go with me, to annihilate them?"
Vishnu looked at her with his ever lotus smile. Parvati looked to her consort, who nodded in approval.
"Go and purify this world with your penance yet again, Parvati!"
All present there nodded in agreement with a smile.
"But how?"
She asked innocently.
"Look down there, Uma."
~Meanwhile on earth~
Kunti and Pandu clasped their hands in front of Sage Rishyashringa. The cold chills of Saptashringa trembled them.
"Help us, Munivar! Or we may die without anything in these cold chills."
They knelt before him. He sat on a dusted, rough amd coarse rock with one leg over it.
"What happened, Maharaja Pandu, which made kneel before me?"
He opened his eyes from his penance.
"Munivar, I don't know why, the boon which Rishi Durvasa gave me is not working! How could it!"
Kunti explained pleading. He smiled a bit. The couple was confused with his mysterious smile and looked at each other in confusion.
"His anger has no limit, but his boons do have. Your deeds exhausted this boon. Go and purify yourself first."
"How can we, Lord! Show us the path, Swami."
They lowered their gaze.
"Arrange for a Yagya. Give sacrifices. Do it with belief. Surely, all your deeds would be transformed into glory!"
"Do the honor to conduct it,Muni."
They again pleaded while he stood up and instructed.
"Can you bring the rarest of rare flowers, the golden lotus, which is in Mansarovar, just some place far from here?"
"All patience be mine, while I go to collect them! But who will protect my wives, sage?"
Pandu answered looking at his two wives, Kunti and Madri.
"The Lord shall protect them."
He declared. Pandu didn't delay for a moment, and advanced to Himalaya, the Mansarovara.
~In Kailash~
"Swami, won't it take time to collect the the flower? And sacrificing a lotus means transforming the whole Yagya into a womb!"
Parvati exclaimed.
"You're right Behen! And it won't take time for him to reach there."
"Will he reach before Kali is born?"
"Surely they can."
Mahadev set his Trident on his hand and Parvati looked at him with curiosity.
"See what is happening."
~In Hastinapur~
The two Raaj Mata of Hastinapur strolled wrigling their hands while Gandhari's scream vibrated in the whole Palace. It was the 15th month while she had been pregnant, and King Dhritrashtra got frustrated with her. In this state she did penance and thus her labour pain initiated. Satyavati came running to the chamber and restricted any men to come further. A soldier came and reviewed about SaptaShringa.
"Raaj Mata Satyavati, Maharaj Pandu and Maharani Kunti went to Rishyashringa with desire of children. He has instructed them to collect golden lotus from Manasarovara."
"Manasarovara!"
She clenched her drape in excitement. She mumbled something under her breath while she went to the Queen who was screaming in extreme labour. Her eyes were shut in numerous prayer and it got open in shock hearing the whispers and Ambika's weeps.
"Don't look at it, Ambalika!"
Gandhari shut her eyes in extreme fatigue while Ambika fumed in anger.
"See what have you bore! A lump of meat!"
Her eyes opened with shock and tears rolled continuously from her eyes. Satyavati ran to her soothe her rubbing her back.
"Why are you blaming this child!"
She wiped her tears.
"Mahadev what punishments you're giving to me!"
Her head dozed with numerous tears on her cloth, and she again fell on her bed, touching the lump she bore.
~In Kailash~
Narada jingled his instrument in astonishment.
"Narayan Narayan! What is this my Lord! Where is Kaliasur!"
Parvati smiled and answered.
"What do you think, Narada, a single woman can bear 100 children in her lifetime? It is impossible! There are some peculiar ways of nature, which we can't recognize. What will happen, is destined to happen."
He just scratched his head in confusion while all laughed out.
~In Hastinapur~
Satyavati strolled around the corridor of her room. Her restless mind calmed a bit seeing the blue light of the moon. Devratha cleared his voice while she got out from her trance.
"May I come in, Mata?"
"Yes sure."
She didn't wait for any reply from Bhishma and started his own talk.
"Do you think we will ever have any heir? I don't think so."
She sighed.
"Why not, mother? Pandu has gone to fetch the golden lotus. I sense victory, mother."
"Hope Shiva listemes to our prayers, dear. I did a mistake and now all are suffering. Forgive me dear. Forgive me, Mahadev!"
She clinged the railings of the corridor and looked at the moon which casted its glow all over the world, shining in bits.
~In Manasarovara~
Pandu rowed the boat accross the lake after reaching the Himalayas in 1 month. He desperetly looked out for the glowing, golden lotus among all the flowers. He rested near the bank and looked around the beautiful nature of Himalaya. His eyes scanned the whole surrounding while a glow captured his eyes. The gloden glow sparkled along the rays of sun and floates along the waves of lake. He stood up in excitement and screamed.
"Here is it!"
He quickled rowed his boat towards the golden glow. As he went towards it, a snake hissed in front if him. He jumped a little in the boat. He heard a faint hissing voice asking him.
"Why are you here, go back! Go back!"
A black shadow moved in the lake surrounding the golden lotus. He gulped and stopped the boat.
"Who are you!"
He looked at the passing shadow and aimed his eyes at the flower.
"I am Vasuki. Why are you here?"
"I am here to collect the flowers."
"Why?"
He emerged from the water in his real form.
"Please let me take it! I plead!"
He looked at Pandu narrowing his creases.
"Don't you know it is blessing of Mahadev? He has assigned me to protect it."
"Sage Rishyashringa has sent me. Please let me take it!"
"Rishyashringa?"
He raised his eyebrows while Pandu narrated the whole story. He seemed melted a bit.
"You can take it. But remember, it is a part of 'Urja'(Power) of Shiva Himself. Don't use it for bad practise please!"
He emereged himself in the lake and went to Kailash. Pandu's hand trembled in happiness while taking the lotus. A vibration spread in the water and it tilted sofly as he picked it from the water. He rowed back to the land and again started his journey to the Saptashringa.
~In Saptashringa~
Kunti and Madri sat near the kitchen waiting for Pandu's arrival impatiently.
"May I go, and fetch water sister?"
Madri stood up. Kunti smiles sensing her restlessness.
"Wait for a bit, Arya would come."
As Kunti took his name, Pandu entered in their hut sofly holding the golden lotus in his hand. Madri stood in awe seeing it's glow. Pandu's face beamed with joy and he said of Kunti,
"Kunti, we can't delay more, let's go to the sage!"
She nodded. Her eyes filled with tears and she felt a divine feeling around her. She looked at the Lotus which twinkled. She touched it but took her from it immediately sensing heat.
"Why it is heated, Arya?"
She looked at the flower.
"I don't know."
He shrugged and said Madri to stay in the hut. She bid them goodbye and the the both went to Rishyashringa, for the Yagya.
