Victorious.

Lord Vishnu who is ever victorious is called thus. Vishnu Sahasra includes this.

This is one of the ten names of Arjun. The ever Victorious warrior is fondly called Jishnu in many places in Mahsbharata.

The God who sleeps on a banian leaf .

Narayan becomes a small boy and lies on a banian leaf at the time of pralaya. He swallows the creation and saves it by keeping it in his stomach. He looks as if in deep thought about restoring the creation back. He keeps his toe in his mouth while contemplating.

Lila Suka,the famous Bilva mangalacharya in his Krishna Karnamritam describes thus.

"With His soft lotus hands, our baby Mukunda has grabbed His lotus like toe and placed it in His lotus mouth, decorated with red lips, and sucks on it in amusement as He rests on a tender banian leaf contemplating on the next cycle of creation.

Kararavindena Padaravindam ,padaravindena vinivesayantam

Vatasya patrasya pate sayanam balam mukundam manasa smarami.

Bheeshma Mukti pradayaka

One who offered salvation to Bheeshma

Krishna showed the path of salvation to Bheeshma who got iccha mrityu ka boon. He will die only if he desires. On the nineth night of the war Krishna made Bhishm tell the way to his defeat. If not for his motivation Arjun would never have agreed to throw his Pitamah on arrows. He is also instrumental in sending Yudhishtir to Bheeshma and learn dharma. Bheeshma is the one who gave us Vishnu Sahasr Nama .
