Happy 25th Anniversary to the epic show Mahabharat! This was a beautiful show that depicted an amazing poetic tale with its phenomenal screenplay, music, and star cast. It was a remarkable show that taught values to all. It is a show that is very close to my heart. I loved nearly all characters which were brought to life by amazing actors. These days, you can hardly find a talented cast and crew. I have tried watching other versions of Mahabharat but none come close to this series. May this series always remain in our hearts.

Star Plus should home in on the chance and find atleast one slot per week to show this blessed classic to viewers which is ever valid to our lives than these uninspired, unrealistic, mind-numbing saas bahu/romance soaps filled with ubiquitously dumb, vain and petty characters that we could do very much without. Its not asking for much, just one slot, who is with me?

B.R.Chopra's Mahabharat-Though I wasn't even born around its original telecasting I was very fortunate enough to have watched this epic piece of art on DVDs. I have watched it many times, and each viewing left me with goosebumps. All the knowledge I have on Mahabharat and its related cultural history has come from this epic piece. Now, every time I hear someone talking about Mahabharat and its character my mind instantly goes to this. Thank you B.R.Chopra and his team and all the wonderful talented actors who were part of this epicness.
Great post Vicky! Thank you!

First of all a very happy Silver Jubilee to B.R. Chopra's Mahabharat team ⭐️! Can't believe its been 25 years already since this epic.
What an awesome thread! Thank you for the BG info and trivia and those behind-the-scenes videos. Excellent job by all those who have put in their efforts! Well done, guys 👏

Even though I was very young when I first saw the show, the characters, actors, the title track are all still fresh in my mind. Probably why I feel that it just feels like yesterday since I saw it. Even now when anyone talks of the Mahabharat its B.R. Chopra's vision and his team which first comes to my mind. Every single person were just pitch perfect. I still maintain there would be no better Krishna than Nitish Bharadwaj, a better Duryodhan than Puneet Issar, a better Bhishma than Mukesh Khanna or a better Shakuni than Gufi Paintal. These are the team who truly made the characters and the story iconic.

Without a doubt, one show in TV history that we can never forget.
