@Janaki di, omg, I'm so sorry I didn't notice your post in the other thread. I'll continue my reply here.

I agree, the lighting in the palace scenes wasn't fabulous, but it was decent. It was a step up from Dwarkadheesh. And I'm glad they didn't make it monotonously yellow. There was turquoise work in the walls and pillars which was a nice offset from the yellow. The problem I sometimes have with coloring creations on AS Ramayan is that there is so much yellow. The background lighting even reflects onto the actors faces. But yes, the outdoor scenes were contrastingly better. Maybe they should use some pastel cloths as banners or curtains to brighten up the palace.

And I can't think of an instance where Lakshmi is supposed to be wearing white at all. She should be wearing red, which signifies wealth. I'm surprised that none of the Lakshmis in any of the Ramayans wore that color. Bhoomi Devi, who is the other wife of Vishnu, is sometimes shown in white, but not Lakshmi. Saraswati is often shown in white as white is the symbol of purity and intelligence.

But yeah, the way Kekeyi pushed Manthara to the ground was much uncalled for. I didn't like seeing that. The actress is pretty good, IMO. She has that maturity about her, and like Lola di said, she is younger than the two other Rajmatas, but old enough to show that she was childless for years.

I'm kind of glad that they're restricting themselves to 64 episodes. They will go through the storyline at a good pace without spending time on unnecessary drama. When Sita gets kidnapped, that could be a place where they might add extra scenes, but they won't because of this. But I hope they stick to it. They definitely overstretched JSK.

@Aishu...Are you sure...Its 64 episodes? I read somewhere...30 episodes...

@Janu Di, As you See Punar Vivah...u must know the girl Neha Sargam who played a small role in between - Neha (I think - Minister's daughter)...I read she is portraying Sita's role

I heard it's a rumor though. I don't know if Neha Sargam will play Sita, but if she does I think I'll like her. She was very cute in Punar Vivah, perhaps not exactly Sitaji's type but then again, her character was like that in PV.😆

Ok - I moved all the review posts to this thread, and you guys also copy-pasted them here... now there's tons of doubles... ab kya karein 😆 I gotta run an errand for 15-20 mins now so can't go through and edit and delete stuff just this second. Is it too confusing, or will we be ok with all the duplication?

Yeah I too read that, but no Ramayan can possibly be completed in 30 episodes.🤔 If I want to watch a short Ramayan, I'd see movies instead of shows, but when I want to see a Ramayan show, I expect a detailed version that covers a lot of story, or else there's no point to it. I think an ideal number for a weekend, 1-hour serial to end is 100 episodes. They can cover a lot of detail that way.

I know Di, from the time I have read that I am just thinking what will they actually show? I hope, they wont give us some really fast moving episodes...Everything needs to be connected. I agree, even I would love to have 100 episodes of 1 hour...I am discussing it with mom from a long time now...I can't figure out anything...

I really want to say one thing, I missed this forum...It's the best when it comes to discussing things...

@Janu Di...
I know, she was very cute there 😆 I hope, they will choose a nice one because Sita can be a dream role for anyone, they just need to have that aura and persona to play it.

@Lola...
I think it will be fine..no problems with me 😳 Lage raho kaam par 😆

Yes, I am grateful to the new Ramayan for one thing. It has brought people back to the mytho masti.😆
And yeah, I agree that for a serial, being too fast-paced is not a good idea because people lost interest. The point of having a serial is so that people learn about Ramayan in detail. Those who haven't seen either RSR or ASR won't learn much from this Ramayan it seems.Ermm

@Janaki di, so is that why there are the two forms Dhanalakshmi and Dhanyalakshmi? Actually, I never knew that Bhoomi devi was Vishnu's wife until I watched Bhakt Annamaiya on Netflix.
In either case, Lakshmi should have been shown in red from the start. At least DBSK had that, despite it's bigger blunders in the clothing department.

@Preet, I was only quoting Janaki di's first post. I don't know for sure wether there's a 64 episode limit.

There are actually 8 forms of Lakshmi:
Dhanalakshmi
Dhanyalakshmi
Dhairyalakshmi
Vijayalakshmi
Adilakshmi
Vidyalakshmi
Gajalakshmi
Santanalakshmi
All these eight make up Lakshmi. Shridevi and Bhoodevi are just the two Lakshmis who have different duties. Shridevi's duty is to serve Lord Vishnu while Bhoodevi's duty is to take care of the entire universe, so I think the ashta lakshmis are form of Bhudevi. I may be incorrect, but I think Devi Sita is a form of Shridevi, or maybe she is the entire Lakshmi and not one of the parts.
Yeah, you're right. Red in general is a better color to show Lakshmi in than anything else. Dont' know why mythos don't show her like that.
