I have a question regarding Divali and Ramayan.
It is said that Divali is the day when Shri Ram returns to Ayodhya.
As far as I know, after Dussehra/Vijay Dashmi there was less time. They had to return quickly as Bharat would give up his life if there is some delay in their arrival.
The time between Vijay Dashmi and Divali is 20 days.
This makes me think that Divali is actually the day when Shri Ram is crowned...am I right?

How do you judge someone as a layperson? As you've admitted being a layperson, atleast having some substantial knowledge about the subject you are commenting is necessary.
This subject is not new for me, as far as knowledge & practical experience is concerned.

This pg contains some good explanation.

As far as I know they boarded the Pushpak rath, so this is a bit confusing! I think your explanation is correct.
Or maybe, they stayed in Nandigram with Bharat for a few days, and then Diwali was the day when theyr entered the city of Ayodhya.
And then, they also had to stop in Kishkindha na!

Well, if you see on page 63, I had posted the things done by Rama's Sena during the 10 months Sita Devi was in Lanka. So according to Valmiki Ramayana, Hanuman went to and fro Lanka in the moth of Phalguna, which is February to March. And So Rama returned to Ayodhya in Chaitra, which is March to April, not during Dipavali, October-November time. I have also posted a question at the end of the post... what about Dipavali?

^^Yes, that's your discovery, an intelligent one, but what I said was based on the popular belief.
It might also have been like, the climate must have changed, so we might have clung on to the season and not the dates?

I know the popular belief, I too believed that till I posted my post.😆
But climatic change of Spring-Summer to Autumn that too in North India seems unlikely.😕
