Naaahhh I mean some totally other stuff that really comes out of nowhere, not even alternate sources, not even from this show... stuff that actually maligns characters for no good reason... but we can discuss that via pm some other time 😛 Hmm, don't we already do that a lot?😆 Alright them, will be waiting for your PM on this!
K, will definitely make the file neater and send it to you soon. It is very helpful for debates as well as our own understanding, and it will help you pick which parts of VR to look at next and narrow it down for you. Yeah, though we tend to prefer a humanized Ram from time to time because it helps us learn from his suffering more when it is genuine, a deified Ram helps us understand a lot of other things, especially the controversial issues in his life.Yeah, that makes sense. There are many cases like that, where a character is impacted by his/her company for better or for worse. I guess that's why we love Vibhishan so much, because he stayed true to himself even in spite of being surrounded by bad influences. Ramayan is full of characters like that, who are either 'good' or 'bad'. That's why it's called an idealistic epic, because everyone is ideal in one way shape or form. On the other hand, Mahabharat has only a handful of ideal characters, not including Krishna (like VD for example, Yashoda-Nand, etc)...so you see a lot more humanized characters than ideal ones. I guess this is why a lot of people prefer Mahabharat since they can relate to the characters, but I tend to prefer Ramayan more because of its idealism.😳 Though I love Ram and Krishna equally, I hold the epic of Ramayan in a slightly higher position than Mahabharat...though, I love Krishna Leela just as much if that makes sense.😳 I guess I'm saying that the Mahabharat portion of Krishna's life has never been that much of a favorite to me, though I do still love it a lot since it gave us the Bhagawat Gita. I prefer the stories of Krishna's younger life till his political victories after Kans Vadh.
Same!!! I love this one as well as the other short vanvaas moments like right before Bharat comes to Chitrakut and they discuss his and Lakshman's competition for Ram's love, as well as the small moments during Vidhna Tere and before the meeting with Jatayu. Basically vanvaas eyelocks in most scenes had a bigger impact on me than the earlier ones cuz I wasn't looking at costumes and makeup 😆 Definitely same here! I also felt their vanvaas interactions were more natural and couple-ish...maybe not being laden down with jewerly helped, though RSR's royal costumes were very reasonable and did not look all that heavy while still retaining the royal touch.
Yeah I did - probably a well-intentioned continuity effort since they couldn't find the guy that played him again and didn't want to randomly change him as Kekta does with her casts mid-show 😆 But he hardly appeared in the show, we wouldn't have minded.😆 Oh well, it's a repetition that is noticeable but not all that important.
And thank you so so so so SO much for starting up the Swayamvar update! Love love LOVE it, especially the singaar bit in the beginning. Deeps looked lovely in neutrals though they rarely dressed her in them. I know! I really loooved that lehnga she was in and wished they had kept it for the Swayamvar sequence, she looked so soft and ethereal in it.😍 Am envisioning a combo sig from that and Mina's pre-swayamvar singaar pics of Debina, let's see how it turns out 😛 Saw it, loved it, and definitely snagged it into my slideshow!👍🏼 And is it just me or did Sulakshana Khatri look younger with her makeup and accessories in this scene? Yeah, she did...I think they put less makeup on her than in the other epis, which helped. The real highlight for me was always all the music in it, every single song is so perfect for creating that atmosphere of antiquity and royalty - both entry songs of course, and I also always loved the one where the bards announce the Janak's challenge - sunahu sakal mahipaal. It's so feisty and energetic 😆 Yeah, that too is one of my favorites, but I love the entrance of Sita the best, the music is so slow and melodious and just perfect for our Deeps.😍 Thanks again, can't wait for the rest!!!!
@Janaki di, aww, thanks for liking the pic updates di. I'm sorry that I have to present such low quality pics to you guys, but that's all I have. And lolz, you're so right. Aditi was only a couple of years older than Meghan, but she still had that maturity in her to pull of that role.
@Mina, OMG!!!
I am a fan of your pic updates hun! It so gives me inspired! The Sita scene with her parents is so sweet!
I siggified it using lines from the Kuch Kuch Hota Hai song w/ Reema Lagu and Kajol.
And the baby pics are so CUTE!!!
I just want to take this child into my lap. What a darling baby!!! And the way it is looking right at her and smiling in that god-like way makes the scene even more enchanting.
Episode 238
Krishna is overwhelmed by the fact that Akrur has arrived at their home and at any second might tell Yashoda about the truth. Balram catches him playing a sad note on his flute and tells him that he should be so moved by worldly affairs and Krishna replies that he has to suffer this way because he took the form of a man. He starts going on about how his family and Yashoda Maiya will be affected and that they better tell Akrur to leave Gokul as soon as possible and that he, Krishna, can live in Gokul, peacefully forever.
At that time Radha has one of those mind conversations with him, reminding him of his duty and that he should give up such attachments. He tells her that if he does, he will also have to give up her love.
Apparently the quality of the next episode's vid is better.
Updating on that tomorrow!!
