The voting system is just screwed up- Prashant only got this far because of all the police and all the regionalism. Had he been some office worker from Mumbai with only Indian ancestry, (and was singing the same way), he'd have been out eons ago.

so you think Prashant is not Indian and Darjeeling, Sikkim, Calcutta is not part of India and Just Mumbai is India? What do you mean Indian ancestry?????. Dont u have trust over ur own citizen? If you think so then go and count the jawans killed in the Kargil war and Sieachen front and see how many mumbai (true Indian as per ur word) are killed and how many Tamang and Thapa and Gurung are killed? They were not playing game there but defending the nation and here is a person doubting. Shame on you true indian on ur own standard.

you're totally missing my point. My point was that Prashant is only getting sympathy votes for being of Nepali ancestry and for being a policeman. My point was, that if he didn't have these two unique characteristics, he would never have made it to the top 2.

So can you please define me what is Indian Ancestry and Nepali Ancestry ??? As per me Indians are in some way represented to some region. So I think it is not sensible to quote this ancestry issues here. If you dont think Prashant has Indian Ancestry then tell me the reason why he has not indian ancestry??

You're still missing my point... he is Indian, obviously. He's just as much an Indian as Emon, Amit, Chang, Abhishek, Deepali, and every other contestant is. But the fact that he's of Nepali origin, from a small city, and is a policeman is getting him a lot of needless sympathy votes. People should not be voting for him for any reason other than liking his singing.

Well for me its just a reality show and I dont know who is singing better coz i am just an average listener. But I do support Prashant coz he represent Nepali and I dont see anything wrong. You are saying he is getting regional vote or police vote because you haven't been able to understand the brotherhood that lies in our community. We are from small village so we need to support him as he is repsresenting us and today many Indians have realized that there are Nepalis origins Indians in India who is also Indian by heart and served this country as like others and yet dont deserve the true respect and always treated 'bahadur'.

You can say what you will about brotherhood and what not, but I still don't really think it's right. This is meant to be a singing competition, the person's race should have little to do with it- especially when it's making them win instead of someone who truly deserves it.

II maybe singing compitition for participants and many others but for me it is just an entertaining prorgam like many other which is reality based. I dont know the difference in minor mistakes of sur and tal so I love and support prashant and I dont see any mistake in it

Its you who have to give convincing argument why emon, depali and puja should be in finals in front of Prashant.

Prashant is already in finals with many votes. We dont need to show anything.

Yeah you do, I really want to hear a Prashant fan defend his right to be there without dragging in all the "he's serving our country" and non-singing related stuff.

But since you've asked to defend the other contestants...

Unlike Prashant, who had started out the galas by giving very weak, out of sur performances, Emon, Deepali, and Puja were all much more consistent. Emon especially had given one stunning performance after another. He put so much of his heart and soul into every song that he did, and his sur, and voice modulation were spectacular.
Prashant took about 9 galas to finally impress me, and even then it was not an amazing, out of this world performance like most of Emon's and a good deal of Deepali's.
I just think it's very unfair that he stayed in despite giving so many weak performances while others were voted out despite giving many outstanding ones.
Prashant has improved a lot since the early galas, but he's still not as good as Emon or Deepali- which is probably why Anu Mallik gave them a playback offer despite being voted out by the audience.

Prashant should have never been in II3

he is the worst singer in II3. he cant even pronounce hindi words properly. He has never sung well and was never unanimously applauded by the judges.

You have some mad NEPALESE in here who support Prashant. Excepting them no one would vote for Prashant

Apparantly Prashant is OVER-RATED all throughout but he gets votes because of outstanding attitude and temparament

If you look at all those who have won in the past in Indian Idol, Saregamapa - it's always because of good attitude and never for absolutely great singing.

In all, AMIT PAUL has it all - he is the most deserving!!! Because of his VOICE QUALITY & his honesty comes thru his romantic and passionate voice. When you listen to him you want to keep listening - and this is the quality that's needed if you want to see good singers in the future.

Emon, puja, Deepali - They were just good enough - BUT personally I would rather choose and OK singer with great attitude who truly deserve good things in life - These 3 people I think were the most arrogant in the whole show - If you looked closer - when other singers sang well - their face dropped like nothing - They are not people who feel happy when someone else does better. Especially PUJA - she was ridiculous - she always showed how she know everything about singing - and quiet honestly I thought her voice is annoying and can't imagine to play a CD of her song - sometimes she sounds childish and the singing was like a street singer. Emon runs in his songs - but you can't feel anything - he sings too fast. Deepali - I don't know - but you have a long way to get better yet.
