i'd request a bunch of members here to please re-visit the definition of racism before branding someone with it just because he/she has a different opinion from you all. i never really liked alisha as a judge, but i think some of you are overreacting by calling her a racist. she never brought prashant's race into anything so why are YOU all turning it into a matter of race/region/ethnicity? you lot really have to stop accusing every other person, involved with the show, of racism just because they don't rate prashant as highly as you do. such attitude is plain childish.

exactly. they really have to overcome their victim mentality. i don't see anyone accusing prashant fans of being racist against bengalis just because they're criticising amit at every opportunity.

Alisha is not racist. Neither other judges are.
Alisha favours good looking guy. She is partial towards them. If she was impartial she couldn't have declared Amit as her Indian Idol from the bench of a judge, before the people's verdict. Judges are said to be neutral. They may tilt towards someone but don't jump to one side. Fine that Amit and Chang are good singers but why did she took Suhit's favour? Quite fair for a woman in her 40s (?) to like a young hot guy, but only if she was not a judge.

No racism but there's some element of partiality against Prashant. Very likely for the fact that either he is a Sipoy or he cannot speak Hindi fluently or he looks little different than most Indians. But the fact is he sings Hindi fluently and he deserves an impartial treatment in the show, which is not there. If you feel partitioned, you feel like being a victim of racism. Thats what the complain is about.

the very same anu malik who won over prashant's fans by defending him yesterday, called amit HIS indian idol numerous times. it would be unfair on your part to rap only alisha for declaring amit as her indian idol from the judges' bench.

very likely coz he is a comparatively weak singer....he mite have improved a lot but he is still below std of many other contestants (emon, depali, puja 2 name a few) as far as singin ability goes...
stop having a persecution complex...

Pseudo sweety I have not rapped Alisha or anyone else for that matter, if you revise what I wrote. She is entitled to support who she likes but it is inappropriate to step into one's side in the role of a judge. Anu has said Amit is his Indian idol, but he also has said Emon is his playback singer, Prashant is up for title challenge, Deepali is Kavita Krishnamurthi and so on. There's a kind of balance in what he says, unlike Alisha's Teri Guanh maaf coz oh my god you are so hot cute sexy boy in the peak of your masculinity!

btw you are entitled to your opinion as well. So this is my last post in this topic. We are human beings and its natural for us to feel self-righteous. Have a good one 😊

I just wanted to add that one does not have to mention one's race in order to be racist, racism has different meanings, but one can include prejudice based on race. Noting I am not saying Alisha is racist, but yes she has always had a negative bias and prejudice against Prashant, in favour of always someone else, be it Suhit, Chang or Amit.

Both are good singers, maybe quality of voice, etc. Amit is a bit better, but one cant disregard that Prashant has worked really hard and has improved a lot.
