I have always looked forward to Emon's performance every week. Am not really a fan of anyone in particular. Call me an unbiased viewer (if such a thing exists), unbiased because no one this year has come across as arrogant so far to be biased against and no one has been in the Karunya league to be blindly biased for. The Puja interview...on which there were loads of posts..felt driven more by anger and disappointment than arrogance and anyway, it was only after she was eliminated. Coming back to the five contestants of last week...
Ankita - She is always in the news and especially after her disastrous back to back performances, I was not sure what to expect and look what she did. For the last 2 weeks I was getting ready to pray for her exit and now after the last performance, boy!! is she back or what. The modifications she rendered to the song were just awesome. I had a change of heart and now support her, I want her to keep at this level.
Prashant - Almost ditto like Ankita. Especially commendable is the fact that even after being safe every week, he still tried to improve his singing unlike last year's Sandeep who just depended on his vote bank. He sang very well. The line he lost sur ... that JA commented... on was correct but JA should have refrained. Far worse mistakes by others have been pardoned in the past by the same judges. I again had a change of heart. He isnt that bad, he is back in the race.
Emon - Reverse scenario. Emon, sweetie, I saw a hint of the nervous performance that you had when u sang 'Khaike Paan Banaras wala'. Being good is one thing but staying consistent is a different ball game, especially when u are a regular in the bottom 3. Change of heart, from being almost a fan to a critic. Buckle up and get back or else u will get out.
Amit - No Change of heart 😊. Was good, is good, I hope he remains good.
Chang - He was never awful, but never superb or mind blowing until....the last gala. I didnt find the whole performance great but the start was awesome. He had me hooked. I never really gave him too much credit for anything and if I may say, neither did most others in this forum. Hardly any long discussions on him. I thought I would not care if he went away but huuuuuuuuuge change of heart here....I am quite sad that he is gone ðŸ˜ðŸ˜
Anyway, there is no bottomline to this post. Just random scribblings of an IF addict. Suffice to say, I would have been very sad if any of the above was eliminated based on Friday's gala and therefore Chang's exit was sad.
I wish him all the best. Here's to Meiyang Chang, a wonderful find of II3
