The building where Sandeep has bought a flat

Sandeep Acharya, the winner of the Indian Idol 2, is here to stay. He recently bought a flat in Malad, off Link Road. The apartment is a special gift to his parents. Sandeep, who hails from Bikaner in Rajasthan, is ecstatic after buying the flat in Mumbai. The sprawling flat, with a majestic view of lush green trees, cost him Rs 70 lakh.

When contacted Sandeep sounded jubilant. He said, "Although the flat cost me a lot of money, it was definitely worth buying. I am very happy with it, let's hope that it forms the stepping stone to success for me. I want to leave a mark in the music industry."

For all those who thought that Sandeep had packed his bags and gone home, and was lost into oblivion, after winning Indian Idol 2, he was busy with his first album Mere Saath Saara Jahan as part of his contract with Sony TV.
