sony only needs average singers
abhijeet was exception because it was first II and sony has to make a mark in this realty show.
now they need only average singers.
1. if sony select average singer - they will stick to sony itself, whatever they do sony will get profit
2. if it is a good singer when he goes for play back singing sony wont get profit from that. actually the contract with contestants is sharing the profit from stage shows and the 1crore contract album.
3. so they are looking only for a stage performer , crowd puller - if it is a girl with lot of jhatkas they will prefer her. and sony can earn money through her.
but no one is realising that by this ankita's career is getting ruined. sony please First give her good training in singing.
Good points!
Actually Ankita winning will make Sony realize many things with II.
1) Determine if II is really a singing competition or more of a performance skills show.
2) Try to make this competition a little more serious than what it's turned out to be.
3) Understand that the voting scheme is seriously unfair to every contestant. Multiple voting being allowed is totally wrong. The other 'Idols' don't have this policy, so I'm not sure why this has been instituted in India? (SMS's yielding more money???? That is sad).
I think the major reason why Ankita is still here is because the ones who vote for her think of her as the underdog, and a person who they find they are akin to. Usually people will vote for an underdog. She identifies with the everyday man/woman who's virtually fighting to stay alive. Not having the 'skills' as the other contestants do, it is actually a plus for her (ironically), as the ones who vote for her feel for her. Some I'm sure vote for her just because of her prancing and hopping show. Some because they don't understand the fundamentals of singing at all.
Whatever the case is, Sony better set some things right before II4. Losing TRP's isn't a good thing. No wonder SRGMP is doing much much better.
