People voting without watching the gala

Just a probable scenario guys...

Different groups of people who are involved in region based voting are not really bothered about even watching the show. They probably wait for Friday evening, TV is on and they keep doing their chores and then their favorite local boy/girl comes on TV. Everything is paused for a few minutes. People are happy to watch him/her sing. When judges say good things, they feel happy, when they say bad things, they get belligerent. Either way, nothing really makes a difference and then they immediately know the code of their fav and start voting. For all you know, they might even turn off the TV as soon as their fav's performance ended.

This may sound far fetched but I remember when Debojit was leading in SRGMP last year, they showed his hometown in some news and there was this shack like place where 20-30 people were sitting and they were given cell phones and just asked to keep on voting. How many of these 20-30 people actually saw him sing is not known but politicians and local rich guys fund this kind of activity.

This year, I think such a craze has already been generated for Amit and Prashant.

i wish those who vote for prashant decided to back amit instead...that way we would've atleast known a talented contestant was going to become the indian idol 😛

i feel the same i don't think they watch it at all just chose a favorite and just want him/her to win! 👏
